I recently got a cheap PSP 3001 and would like more battery life. I'd like to buy an original PSP 1000 battery (2200mah) to use in the 3001. But I can't seem to find a straight-forward answer in my online searches. Will an original Fat 2200mah battery (Not the later revised 'slim' 2200mah extended battery kit version that is actually made to fit the 3001) fit into the 3001 battery compartment?
I keep reading conflicting things: Some say it won't fit, some say it will fit but a bigger battery cover is needed. I can live with the battery sticking out but yeh, can the very original fat 2200mah battery fit and will the 3001 detect it and charge it? [very confused here]
