That list is insane! Is there a review that doesn't have a full score?

The lowest I have seen is a 75/100 from Polygon. The majority are 90+ and the average is 96 on Metacritic and 95.5 on GameRakings if you care about that stuff.Last edited by Rombie; 06-08-2013, 02:58 AM.

Very true.
Well if you want my actual thoughts on it, it's because people have either a) more expectations based on good comment, and b) then more reason to be picky when there are things they find they don't like. Then there is always an undercurrent of negative comment about everything anyway...
The whole first review in Empire "Citizen Kane of gaming" thing is a perfect example of that (ignoring the comments on what made the game any good by picking at the crazy comment given by the writer as means to dismiss anything else said), as is the idea of when early good reviews come out people claim someone to be paid off... which of course has weak legs when the game in question is well reviewed by almost everyone.Last edited by Rombie; 06-08-2013, 06:28 AM.

I got a strong Raccoon City vibe from this video for The Last of Us. This would have been a cool segment in the RE games if it was told as a flashback to the Raccoon City Incident. The atmosphere, imaging, man it just fits so well! If Naughty Dog can do it, CAPCOM can as well.
If you're looking to avoid spoilers, then don't watch.

I don't want to get on the hype train either but it is quite hard to ignore the high level of reviews.
I know what you mean though. And ND are you know, pretty decent with UC2 being my personal favourite. I just can't stop my hopeless cynicism.

I'll be leaving to pick up my copy at Gamestop in thirty minutes. I was so fucking pissed that they didn't do a midnight launch, since they didn't get enough pre-orders from the inbred locale that only plays COD and NBA2K. One of the most anticipated games of the year and no launch, ridiculous.

This is stupid. I wanted to buy the Last of Us on Amazon.de , but they will automatically send it back if I don't personally accept the package, because Germany is so fucked up, that if you want to buy a product that isn't suitable for people under the age of 18 you must actually be present by accepting the package and also must give the mail man your ID, which he uses to clarify that you're the person that is meant to accept the package. I also don't currently know where my credit card is, so I couldn't pre-order the game at all. Other shops do have the joel or ellie editions but want 10 € more then amazon. I think my only choice is to grab the digital version, which is kinda meh. I still can't get it though because my bank account is not balanced enough. So the credit card I'm missing for the other account that actually does have money could be of use right now... Oh well... perhaps I'll get it when the price drops or as soon as I find my credit card. Sorry for writting this complete uninteresting post.

Just finished this game tonight and I am shocked that hardly nobody is talking about it on here. It really is something special. I had probably the most fun you can have with a controller playing this game. It has everything from tension, action, story, horror, gore, comedy, fun, panic and so on you name it and it has it. Probably my best game to hit PS3 if not then second to Uncharted 2. The game was about 13 hours long which isnt bad considering most are around 8 hours. Graphics are top of the range although I did notice that I didnt have much time to stop and check out the sceneary on my first playthrough as I was paranoid and never really felt safe to stop and enjoy the view. You know its a good game when you really dont want it to end and I wish this game would go on forever. I would love to see a sequel of some sort they could even do a prequel. In Naughty Dog I trust. Between this and Uncharted they have my complete attention on all future projects. The characters are also outstanding I cared about all of them even the dickheads (Hello Bill). Between Joel/Ellie and Drake/Sully ND really know how to make good characters that I care about and would love to see them come out with new titles and even a movie. Is it worth all the 10/10 hype? Fuck yeah.
