Best ePSXe settings?

Hey people,

may someone be so kind and tell me which would be the best settings for the "ePSXe" PS1 emulator on modern PCs running Windows?

I can't get anything *anything* working apart from the BIOS's which load fine. CD's, ISO, all just start up to a black screen and nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong, have all the recommended plug ins, tried dozens of different settings, same thing every time. Can't even get retail games to work through it.

filtering textures make everything blurred.



Do NOT forget to use Eternal sound plugin.

shaders box activated make it crash. use the 2.9 pete OPENGL plugin.

I just hear people saying the old PS1 games loook so good with the emulator and the right settings...I'm eager to see if they are telling the truth.

Using the Pete OPENGL plug in, and I still have nothing but a blank screen. It's so irritating.
