i also want to point out, i never beaten FFVII, nor do i ever want to. i dont want to experience the final boss, i want it to remain a mystery until i'm dead. but i did everything in that game. double sets of master materia, all limit breaks, all weapons, all accessories, max gil, max lv, bred a gold chocobo. ironic if you say. and with that said, its still overrated.

Final fantasy IV: Loved the story, classic
Final Fantasy VI: if you had to choose a game to represent the series, I would choose this one.
Final Fantasy VII; never finished it, dislike it. i know the story though at least lol
Final Fantasy VIII: very underrated, the love story thing is kinda lame, but the graphics, music, everything is superb
Final Fantasy IX: A nice mix of a unique story and going back to the roots of the series
Final Fantasy X: A masterpiece. The first time the series has had voice acting, and they didn't kill it. Have replayed this many times over, and will probably do so in the future , my favorite game alongside VIII
Final Fantasy X-2: Not enough testosterone in it
Final Fantasy XII: made me think of star wars so often
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7: was alright
Final Fantasy Tactics: not my thingLast edited by Guest; 04-14-2013, 03:57 AM.

FF1 - Not played.
FF2 - Not played.
FF3 - Not played.
FF4 - Keep getting to the moon then get distracted. Fun though. Need to complete.
FF5 - Keep getting to galuf's world and like 4 get distracted by something. Good plot. Need to complete.
FF6 - One of my favourites. I liked the choice of characters and the story was good. Completed a few times. First Final Fantasy I saw/played at a friends on a snes..
Mystic Quest - Lol. Played. Was ok. Bought because getting 6 for the snes was extremely expensive for the UK and I was a poor kid.
FF7 - Yeah. Liked. Completed so many times.
FF8 - First time completing this I did not think much of 8 but it has grown on me over the years. Completed multiple times.
FF9 - Completed. Every time I try to play this again I get as far as the end of disc 2 beginning of disc 3 and I just can't bring myself to continue.
FF10 - Completed 2 to 3 times. Its ok. Fun to play once in a blue moon.
FF10-2 - Completed. It was ok.
FF11 - Bought, never played. Required a credit card.
FF12 - Apparrently I got near to the end air ship bahamut. Never completed. Dad died whilst playing this and I cannot bring myself to play this.
FF13 - Completed. It was ok. Not one of my favourites.
FF13-2 - Sitting on my shelf still sealed. Not had a lot of time for the last 2 years to play games.
Pretty much once a year when I can find time I will usually Play 7, 8 or 6 or in some rare instances 7 and 8. They tend to be my go to games.

My first title was the original NES version. I was too young to appreciate it, and it never grew on me.
FF7 and FF8 are my favorites, and like Andrew (Enrico), I go back and play through them once a year (or every other year). I laugh, cry and thoroughly enjoy the experiences they both have to offer. FF7 is overratted, whereas FF8 is underratted; I perfectly understand both arguments.
It's funny to me, now, because I used to 'tease' and make fun of people who played FF7, at the time (1997). Then, I played it to see what the fuss was all about...
I kinda enjoyed FF9, but the novelty wore-off, long ago.
FF10 was stolen from me, two weeks after I bought it. I didn't like it at all, anyway.
FF11 is still shrink-wrapped, unopened - I had to buy it for the PS2 HDD, in order to play Outbreak. Well, to improve the experience, at least. Anyone who remembers what it was like to play RE: Outbreak online without a HDD can certainly relate.
I have Crisis Core for PSP, but never completed it (or played it, for that matter). I'm still intrigued, though, and would like to finish it, someday.
I never had much time/care for other titles, unfortunately.
Nowadays, my main enjoyment from FF comes from learning and playing Nobuo's tunes on piano and guitar.I'm a blackstar.

I've only ever played ff 8 and 9. 8 I have but i've never completed it, 9 i've played but not completed, however I would like to try and complete both before I get old and die .
7 i've seen parts of but not played although i'd like to, and I really like 8 a lot; the story is great and I like the characters; in some ways it reminds me of resident evil 1 in terms of the characters, and Squall reminds me of myself in my teenage years lol. However the junction system really confuses me somewhat, I got as far as the battle in the other Garden where you fight Seifer and Edea but not being powerful enough I failed . This is what I mean about the junction system I don't entirely understand it.

My time playing Final Fantasy is very sporadic. I would play a particular title for days on end, then not touch a game within the series for years.
Final Fantasy: I got this along with Dragon Warrior and Super Mario Bros. when I first got my NES. I hated RPGS, I thought they were far too dull. I was more interested in Mario, Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, etc. platformers. I've never gone back and attempted to beat it.
FF2. Played it, canned it due to boredom.
FF3. Loved it for its job system and magic. Didn't pay attention to the plot at all.
FF4. First one that I found the characters interesting. Nothing about the gameplay stuck out to me, but I didn't hate it.
FF5. Similar feelings to FF3.
FF6. Probably my favorite. I loved the characters, the plot, leveling up, the areas, etc.
FF7: fun, but not my favorite. Materia was pretty cool. I remember when I was younger asking myself "Uh, how did I miss 3 installments of a series?"
FF8. Played, felt pretty lethargic about who whole thing. Put it down and never picked it back up.
FF9. Not interested in it enough to play it.
FF10. Beat it, never played it again. I finished it because I was too close to stop. I remember being put off by the heavy metal music at the end.
FF10-2. The combat system was its only redeeming quality.
FF11. I was so skeptical of this game that I never gave it consideration. A friend convinced me to make a character and I ended up loving it. There was a period of time when you could solo Beastmaster to 75, which have a while different perspective to the game. BST to 75 is one of my favorite gaming experiences. And I thought the CoP plot was interesting, and really enjoyed the Zilart/CoP environments.
FF12. Somewhat enjoyable, I never finished it though.
I stopped playing Final Fantasy after I quit 11 and have no interest in the series currently.Last edited by Graco; 05-06-2013, 02:23 PM.sigpic
