XD
And life support? Nintendo franchises are hardly at that point. They make a ton of cash and sell millions.
Zelda isn't Mega Man or Sonic, series that ARE on life support.Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.

Mixed feelings.
Nintendo is a failed investment; I can't foresee myself buying a 3DS, for this... but, I do want to play it. I haven't been impressed with this franchise, for about 10+ years, though.
I need further media and confirmation that the annoying "LISTEN!!!" fairy will be nowhere, long before I consider any purchase.

I'd rather go another decade without a proper, well-thought, worthy MegaMan title, than purchase a lousy, lackluster title, tomorrow.I'm a blackstar.

Why couldn't Link be a rogue freebooter once, something Skyrim-ish? Why couldn't Link have a USEFUL, HUMAN COMPANION for once? Sure Midna came close, but still not quite good enough. There are just so many interesting things they could do with the Zelda universe instead of "Find out I'm Hero of Time, tackle eight/sixteen dungeons, get better sword, save world/princess/both, end story." What I think they need to do is go Super Mario Sunshine on this franchise's ass, shake it up.

Personally for me Twilight Princess is the most consistent Zelda in terms of quality, it seldom if ever drops the ball. My favourite Zelda without a doubt. (DISCLAIMER: The Gamecube original I mean, not the fucking awful Wii port).
I'm totally on board for a LTTP2, as long as they don't literally call it LINK TO THE PAST TWO. It needs a new subtitle.http://www.projectumbrella.net The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Nintendo going backwards as usual. I mean it isn't like they just got a great new 3D Zelda 3DS engine from porting OoT that they could use for an original new 3D Zelda title.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

Eh, at least it could be disabled.
Originally posted by AsteroidBlues View PostIt really is the best version out there. I had to track it down at a Gamestop some fifty miles away from where I live for a really good price. I replayed the original version first just to train for the Master Quest.I'm a blackstar.

Yes Dracarys, we all remember you hate Nintendo. Moving on, if the game is Navi-less thats a big step in the right direction.
One thing abut the classic gameplay returning I'm glad to see is that when you move around the map it doesn't do that "shift/load" one screen at a time restriction that always slowed the game down.

Originally posted by MarkGrass View PostJust because Zelda games are still being made, doesn't mean they're worth the purchase.

If Sonic wasn't a SEGA franchise, they would've given up on it like they did with Bayonetta. Mega Man? LOL Capcom gets a lot of heat 24/7 for not knowing what to do with the IP.
"Cross-Over" is an iOS title, many consider to be a cheap cop-out.
...and that Street Fighter title was a fan-made creation, sponsored by CAPCOM.
But yes, CAPCOM does receive flack - especially considering they've cancelled roughly 4 different titles, in the past few years alone.
...and I couldn't care less about Sonic - SEGA bombed that franchise, with the birth (and death) of the Dreamcast.

I'm terribly sorry that my faith in Nintendo isn't as strong as it used to be. I'm not going to buy everything that has "Zelda" or "Nintendo" written on the package, as-is the same with "Resident Evil" and "CAPCOM".
I did the same for both franchises, for many years... and was utterly disappointed, at times.
