    Nintendo direct was trash.

The 'highlights' if can call them that:

    - Mario Kart you already played on Wii and 3DS
    - Zelda game you played on GC
    - Donkey Kong game that got released on 3DS last week.
    - 2.5D Mario that released on 3DS last year.
    - Smash again

Amazing surprises, all hail Nintendo, king of originality and innovation.

edit: I'm not ripping on them for being sequels, doing it because they may as well be straight ports to look at them and see how they play.

Should add some details, and not a bunch of lies/half-truths ;D

            1. Mario Kart 8 (WiiU) is not the same as before, looks like a hybrid of Mario Kart and F-Zero.
            2. Wind Waker HD has new content, looks as beautiful as ever (new shader looks nicer in motion than in the old still shots)
            3. Donkey Kong Country 3DS is not the same as Tropical Freeze that was announced now
            4. Again, not the same game as 3D Land. Larger levels, new power up(s), 4 player multiplayer, Super Mario Bros. 2 "traits" for the 4 playable chars., etc.
            5. 3DS Smash is cellshaded, WiiU follows Brawl visual style. Seems to be same game on both platforms (cross-play?) - and ... most important of all; NEW CHALLENGER APPEARS - IT'S MOTHER FUCKING MEGAMAN! (TRY TO CANCEL THIS, CAPCOM!)

And then we have Platinum Games with Bayonetta 2 gameplay trailer and Wonderful 101 Trailer (Stream had different footage of 101, showing how the gameplay mechanics work)

            And then there was this thing from Nintendo/Monolithsoft;

And, well, if you drop by Nintendo's YouTube or press vault, there's a gazillion new trailers for various games that weren't on the stream (including the new 3DS Zelda <3)

But, hey, guess you just don't like fun

To me the only let down from Nintendo was that Retro Studio's "secret" game was the new Donkey Kong, instead of something like F-Zero, Star Fox, Metroid or even a new IP.

It was mocking sarcasm, not lies.

When people play them they'll find little new.

Still, better a WiiU than Xbone.

Yeah. That was kinda sad. But it doesn't sound like Donkey Kong's their "big" project.

Guess you're mostly watching and not playing, I suppose. In games that are basically just gameplay, those little subtle things are what makes the total game changers. Different jump physics requires different timing and approaches, new power ups bring new play styles to master and adapt to, single player vs multiplayer adds a variety of curious changes too, etc..

That's not very different from most titles like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed and Halo. At least Nintendo has many exclusive titles, Xbone has Halo and what the PS4 has now that FF and Kingdom Hearts aren't exclusive?

Titanfall - Did Grant Collier come back to making videogames? Ridiculously nice and fluid not-so-2D-traversing-anymore, solid level design, gameplay seemed "plausible" (realistic in the videogame sense, fluid and not constricting), weapons look and "feel" (at least on the screen) fun. Plus, competitive gaming being a target is a huge bonus.

Also, E313 revealed the greatest DLC ever made. They used to be called expansion packs, but who cares. Commander mode in BF4, on a touch screen no less.

Funny note, MGS trying to be the what-used-to-be-Splinter-Cell? Thumbs up.

I doubt many third parties will even dare.

But with the door now being left open for Third Party devs to do 'what they want', who's to say an unlock code for the game to work isn't out of the question, even for disc based games.

Sure - it might actually boot and load, if you will, but the devs (and you can bet Ubi and EA most certainly) could be potentially lock any of the content on that disc behind a PSN key or something. Quoting Trettan "The DRM decision is going to have to be in the hands of the third parties, that's not something we're going to dictate or control or mandate or implement."

Hilariously enough, that's actually also how it technically works on the One.
