  • Just played Clock Tower 3 for the first time. Why is it so...weird?

So I've been on a bit of a ps2 survival-horror spree recently (I owned an xbox during that era, sadly) and played through CT3, which is my first clock tower game. Since a lot of people here seem to be survival horror nuts, I was wondering if any Clock Tower fans knew why it's such a mess of themes and gameplay mechanics - the fantastical subordinates, the "Sailor Moon" boss fights, the semi-comedic script, the environmental "alarms" (knocking over cans etc.) being abandoned after a couple of bosses and so on. Did it have a rushed or contentious development cycle or something?

i did not like CT3. looks like a low budget version of haunting ground.

sound is the same, camera is the same, looking is the same, but its just poor and bland.

The game you speak of is actually Clocktower 4 and is not a true CT game nor made by the original creators. Clocktower for the SNES & Wonderswan is the original (re-released as Clocktower: The first fear on Playstation one). Clocktower 2 for the Playstation one, known simply as Clocktower outside of Japan is the second game. CT2 is a true sequel to the first game, so you'll need to play both to get the whole story. They are the best in the series.

Clocktower 3: Ghosthead, known as Clocktower 2: The struggle within outside of Japan is the third game in the series and has nothing to do with the originals and is not a very good game. Then there's this game, Clocktower 4.
