  • Next gen! What're you buyin'?

So, even though some of us consider the WiiU the start of "next gen"; most people probably see the next gen as something that starts this Holiday Season with the launch of the power house behemoths known as the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 ...

The big question is of course ... which one do you actually chose?

Personally, I'm actually buying both, I've technically already bought them both. Full price paid already. Same goes for the launch window titles that I care for too. Already paid for and just waiting to appear in stock. Neat. Huh? Guess I'll be able to get people some presents this year, huh?

      PS4 because of likely co-op I guess

PC, which I won't even need to upgrade to follow the new gen. Maybe I won't be able to play on 60fps with every setting on max but it'll be good enough for me.

^A good rig tends to last, as long as nothing breaks down, but PCs are always such a hazzle when you have to upgrade more than just one component (+often, each upgrade tends to cost you more than a console generation :/). Have my doubts about the new consoles pulling FULL HD 60 FPS gameplay with all bells and whistles applied, though ;D

Beyond the 7 player support in FIFA, I never really felt that the PS3 was much more of a "co-op machine" than the competition.

Although, something hilarious struck me regarding the Xbox One and how you can technically utilize the HDMI input of it and the PIP window function to daisy chain yourself a pretty expensive split-screen setup

ill stick with my radeon 7970.

i guess this generation will be a lot more of physics than visual filters.

i mean, there is no need to include super samples of AA with cost of 20fps without big changes in visuals. include more particles will do it best.

PS4 only if it has some exclusives I care about.

              PC for everything else.

PC for me. I have a rig I built way back in 2009 that can STILL play this year's games on max, I'm totally getting my money out of that thing. After that, I'll just build another. xD

I'll be getting the PS4, but I know for a fact that later on I will get the Xbox One

PS4 and Wii U (Smash baby!).

I will never touch an Xbox product. I can't support a company that was planning to do that much BS.

I'll probably just stick to PC. I don't have the time or desire to play games day1 anymore. So waiting isn't an issue, and I get games at a much more agreeable price point

I think the month-or-so between the Xbox One's launch and the PS4's launch is gonna be very interesting (and probably the totally most important period for Microsoft if they wanna try to "win" the Holiday season).

I've actually been monitoring this kind of stuff for a lot of titles in my backlog ... I could've had a small fortune if I just knew which games would end up in the backlog and which would not
