They've hit over $1,350,000, this means that there will be Mac/Linux versions released as well.

Really glad that this project has made as much as it as, cant help but wonder how far the donations will go before Oct 1st.

I fucking love this! seriously, i have no words to describe how amazing this project is. First Shinji Mikami starts making the evil within and now this happens!?

this is too rich! XD and i hope they both teach capcom a lesson they will never forget! give that greedy corporation HELL!! >:3
also i cant wait to play this on my WiiU <3 its just too bad i have no money to donate, i want to contribute to this so badly but im not doing too well financially because of college tuition.

Isn't that what everybody is saying to Capcom these days? I feel like Shinji Mikami and Keiji Inafune were told no by Capcom so many times, and denied them from doing the things they wanted to do, that they ultimately got fed up, and started up their own thing. Capcom can no longer tell them no.

And on top of that, with so many game modders around these days, and gamers making professional-quality games (Megaman Unlimted), the truth is, we don't really need Capcom anymore. I feel like with Capcom, its all about money and poilitics, and they just don't give a shit about their fans, period.

As I recall with Capcom, there are still so many fans that want a RE2 Remake and another Outbreak title. Still to this day, nothing has happened yet. So, screw them. People will take their money elsewhere, or create their own thing.

I can't get over the quality of the game mods and indie games these days, and they're releasing their stuff for free, and it is actually good stuff, and fun to play.

We could be reaching the point where big name publishers are no longer needed within the next 10 years.

Even with their popular IP's, who wants to work for a company thats going to neuter you as an artist when you can make a game the way you want and how you want with a small team, of about 2-3 guys working on weekends as a side project for a year or so(depending on the games genre).

With how fast technology is changing its actually really refreshing to see how many more indie developers are out there. It used to be that only game publishers were the ones who could make a game, now anyone can if you know some programming and graphics knowledge.

            It really is quite cool.

It used to be easy for anyone who knew how to make a game in the 70s/80s/90s. It only died down really during the PS2/GC etc gen since dev costs climbed high as games grew in scale and low budget small scale titles had no distribution method on consoles aside from an overpriced retail release.

I just realised this is that same guy who was saying the Japanese industry is "5 years behind" or something like that. So this is his remedy, a nostalgia trip? I'm not having a dig at the game or the oldschool platformers, but it just seems like a weird comment for such a subsequent lack if innovation.

thats true i guess but as far as i can tell, this project is kind of like a new evolution of a classic style. its not really just nostalgia, they are mixing in a lot of new mechanics like the transformations and (provided they get enough money) even a co-op twist to the megaman style gameplay. its more like a fusion of old and new.

If the project reaches $3.3m there will be PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game as well.

I think it'll probably hit the PS3/360/ and WiiU before the fundraiser ends, so that's a little $200k in 3 weeks.

2 weeks to go, they're almost at 2.2 million dollars as of now, and 2.2 mil means there will be hard copy versions of the game for the PS3/360/Wii-u.

Next on the donation list is 2.4 million dollars which adds Challenge mode.

I'm hoping they can hit the extra stage and boss mode before Oct 1st.

Thats another 300k to go in 2 weeks.

Still I'm excited that they've gotten over twice what they asked for in half the kick starter campaigns time.
