Loved the new ideas.. but I hope the entire game isn't first person (perhaps its only inside buildings?)
Sounds and looks amazing.

Hope its better than the last few SH games.
Downpour was pretty 'meh'. For everything they did right, they did two things wrong.
Homecoming wasn't great...but it wasn't awful. Its story was its biggest problem because it was only interesting enough to play once.
SH has suffered from not having any really great stories since the first 3 games, I can still play SH2 to this day and find the story as interesting now as I did back in 2005 when I first played it.

According to an interview with the creators - they really want to ramp up the difficulty and puzzles in this one (to make it more like the classics, but harder still)
This is why they names in Silent HillS (with the S) as if to say "twice the difficulty, twice the puzzle difficulty)
They're dismissing casual gamers and focusing purely on die hard fans here.. those who aren't gonna walk away and not play coz their too dumb.

Kojima talks about the reason of placing an S in "Silent Hills"
Hideo Kojima, father of the Metal Gear saga and now responsible for most of the next Silent Hill, has given an interview at GamesCom that although has focused above all on The Phantom Pain, also revealed interesting details of the new Silent Hill, in the collaborating with Guillermo del Toro.
Besides confirming that "PT" just means Playable Teaser, explained why this new release would be called Silent Hills.
In general terms the S Silent Hills symbolizes plural and means "twice as scary. Twice the difficulty." With this new release Kojima wants exceed the known limits of horror game and make a game that makes the average player feel like leaving, simply because it generates too many disturbing feelings. Kojima says that there are designers who fear too terrifying place items in their games because obviously want their game to be played by many people. Silent Hills but they seek the opposite: looking to reach fans of terror and provide an experience of pure terror, that makes "$#!T in his pants."
On the difficulty, Kojima quote: "Silent Hills is a very challenging game, and the last puzzle of the game is so difficult that it becomes ridiculous is made of premeditated want a game that also will test your intelligence. It's a video game... for fans. "And he recognized the merit of the previous installments of Silent Hill, where many puzzles, such as the piano, are remembered for their difficulty. Kojima wants to imitate that. "
