If there was a brand-new retro videogame console on the market, that strictly ran new 8-bit retro games, like the NES did back in the 80's, would you buy it? Especially if it had support from major game companies like Nintendo, Capcom and Konami?
The console would be strictly 8-bit, and you'd buy the games on SD cards, and plug them into a slot on the console, turn on and play. It would be like the NES all over again, except it will be all original content (for obvious copyright reasons), unless third-party developers like Nintendo wanted to put out games for it.
It's a simple question with a simple answer to choose from: Yes/No/Maybe
