I never got to play the first game, being in the UK and not having a chipped PS1 in the day, but I LOOOOOVED the second game.

It'll be Interesting to see where they take the third game really, even if it isn't canon it'll be fun to play again; well, hopefully. Square might do what they did to FF with 12...

I've played a good portion of PE and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I ought to get it in the near future, along with PE2. I remember Vagrant Story, which tried the same battle mechanics with a different aesthetic, and I didn't enjoy it.

well square jsut unveiled the game is now in full production...

The 3rd Birthday may be farther along. The game is now in full production mode, said Tabata. "We should have a chance to show it off shortly." He also seems to be excited about this one, saying that the "cream of the crop" development staff is producing a game that will "exceed expectations."

Ahah. Square-Enix and their amazing handling of stuff (though, I can't blame them. It seems like throwing ideas from the balcony and down into the masses below is the norm on the PSP front. Even S-E's done it before.)

I still find it hilarious, though, that every game in the franchise has been thrown at a different group/team, Nomura is the only "big name" connecting them all and they're actually making a third game for a franchise they don't really appear to have the license to anymore. It's like those Bond movies made without the Bond license or something


So... more importantly... will we suddenly in 2016 or something hear about the once upon a time rumored Before Crisis port?

If this isn't ported over to a console then i really don't care, it's just the type of the game that doesn't belong on a hand held and certainly not on mobile phones, seriously what were they smoking when they came up with that?
