They did pay From Software for Tenchu Z to be Xbox 360 only...
^Which means MicroSoft probably ruined the Tenchu series, as it's been a Sony product since the first release in Japan by Sony.
All in all, it's quite possible.

No, they paid to keep exclusive rights for all downloadable content.

I actually find Tenchu Z quite good, I'm just annoyed at the fact if you run through a whole lot of enemies, nearly die, and get the highest ranking.
From Software arn't bad, though.
Fatal Shadows is my favourite! Rin is my favourite.
And that's all FS' fault.
