Same here, I'd like to actually play with some of you guys for a change. Half of you are on my list but we never organized a game ever.

I have the US version also. So I can play either, really.

My US LE arrived today, and to my dismay the game packaged in with it is the standard US box art. I was hoping for that hawt Yoji Shinakawa box art on the box but alas, it didn't happen =(

Indeed, it's region locked, I've played with German and Spanish players.
It's such a shame aswell, wouldn't it cost them more to have seperate servers? Why not just a worldwide server?

It's annoying, because I really wanna play with more people, half the people who play this game are retarded, unfair and/or biased on themselves.
Not aimed at everyone, just the majority of people I played with.

Also, after 2 weeks, theres like 200 clans.
There were people who spent 20 hours in under a day, alittle obsessive...
Oh well, I'm proud member of a clan called Sharks. ^^
I can't wait to clan games, I love BASE and SNEAK!!!

When I ever get round to hooking up both my ps3 and 360 I wanna play online games but I deffo wanna play mgo since i didn't have a chance to play the ps2 version.

Is there any way to get around the Region locked online play
Also, what a drag, thought we were past region locking.
Guess for now i'd have to play MGO with the french *grumbles*

Well i'm still hunting down a limited edition that was sold on Play.com, the price was £80, which was too steep, but on ebay it started selling for £150, which is MADNESS.
But the ebay prices are starting to go lower and the fuss around this game is getting back to normal.
I'm trying to stay away from this post because i have no clue about this game, but can the next poster just let me know if there is anything at all that tells the gamer "i'll be back". Because i'd hate this to be the last MGS to be honest.
Speaking of MGS, i'd love for another Hitman or Splinter cell to come out, but i'll keep this MGS for now.

Hate to say it but there won't be a sequel after this, everything is more or less revealed all questions answered etc. And I gotta agree with prices for mgs games I need to buy a new copy of MGS3 subsistence because my 2nd disk snapped and its gonna cost me about £70 - 100 it's a joke

I lucked out on the LE here... prices on online auctions were hitting anywhere between $270 and $350NZD (to show how insane that is, thats over £700 at max). I managed to find one in a gameshop here for the normal retail of $180.

As this is the MGS thread, i thought i might say that Solid Snakes voice is in a game on the d.c called Sword of the Beserk or something along those lines, but he gets killed quite early on lol, i guess the actor costs too much to have in a full game.

Yeah, it does. I will have to register a new one if I wanna play the US servers with ya though =/

But yeah, I tried it and it definitely works.
