I honestly never understood the hype for Halo. From what I saw, other then multiplayer, it was shit. But hey, I've never actually played it. So I wouldn't know for sure.

You should try it out, its like what... 20 bucks now? Try out the PC one, singleplayer is sorta repetative but multiplyer is fun.

Well the hype was due to the fact that Halo was a good console FPS. There's no point trying to compare PC and console FPS because the PC market is flooded with them while console FPS' pretty much ranged from mainly Medal of Honor and very few other FPS but good ones were far too few and between. Halo offered a remedy since it featured an engrossing Campaign mode with a surprisingly good story as well as solid Multiplayer mode that had you playing the game long after Campaign was done with.

Between Halo and Killzone though, Halo is the better game. Not to say Killzone isn't good as it did show promise including some inspired level designs and the animation of movement and the weapons was top notch too. The bad came due to the limitations of the hardware it was running on, IE PS2, which meant the game had an horrendous framerate as well as too many bugs and glitches and the AI was a little iffy at times. The main killer though was how Killzone was constantly being hyped as the "Halo Killer" which only ended up hurting the game even more because Halo was a much more polished title.

Hopefully Killzone 3 shows that the guys at Guerilla learnt a thing or 2 from the mistakes in Killzone.

Yeah, I'm really sick of Halo fanboys acting like they know shit about shooters. I seriously think it's the most overrated game in history.

Halo, hands down. But honestly, I really do think the next Killzone for PS3 is ABLE to kill Halo.
