Well, looks like I must have corrupted the save data, so I have to friggin play though the game again to get back to where I was. *Sigh*, oh well. I'm pretty sure I can mimic the same choices I made in my first playthrough without much trouble, so in the end, it doesn't matter. I'll just think of it as having to do a "B game", like Re2, lol. Man, it would have really helped if they at least flashed a warning about "don't quit the game" if you can corrupt your save data. Live and learn I guess.

In any case I remember when Sony did this for Extermination early in the PS2's life and that game wasn't as good as it looked like. But heaps of people brought it and then it ended up in massive piles of second hand copies in gaming shops in weeks. I don't think HR will be this bad, but I do expect it wont be what some people were expecting as well.

Well I just finished the game and I thought it was absolutely amazing. I haven't had that much fun playing a game in a long time. I got so caught up in the game that I forgot it was a "interactive movie". The killer was not who I expected it to be at all.....I don't know, maybe I just don't watch a whole lot of mystery thrillers. I enjoyed the ending a lot(I believe I got the good ending since I didn't let no one die). The game is simply beautiful, thats all I have to say.
Can't wait for “The Taxidermist" DLC .Last edited by CODE_umb87; 02-24-2010, 06:10 PM.

^ Sweet, I've been playing through it all day, took a break. I'm about halfway through I think, I love it so far."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

God seems to hate me. So I was determined to beat Heavy Rain today. No overheated PS3 or anything, and guess fucking what? It's stuck on the SAME Madison loading screen the first time the game quit responding, and I"m not even sure what the hell to do to restart the game and not corrupt my save data. FUCK FUCK FUCK. It's gotta be the disc--this is just TOO RIDICULOUS! Fucking hell! I've never had an issue like this with a game before. Man, why did it have to be THIS GAME of all games. Jesus christ.
EDIT: Well, looks like I was premature. This time I just waited for about 15mins, then ejected the disk. Fortunately, it loaded without a hitch. Have no idea why it at that particular spot the game freezes when you're playing straight though. Must be that crappy patch I guess. Anyways, I finished the game, and will post later a kinda blog I've been keeping of my first playthrough, hopefully to help compare to other's first games, as well as my thoughts. But I got work in an hour or so, then some UC2 tonight, but otherwise. I'm just so glad to finally have finished it!Last edited by valentinesdead?; 02-25-2010, 05:48 PM.sigpic

I never really encountered any loading problems or crashes, just a few times when the voice work was off a bit. Also, I discovered a glitch where I talked to someone with my glasses on and they flew off my face, folded themselves up and went into my pocket lol. Anyways, I beat the game in pretty much one sitting with two 15 minute breaks. And...
Spoiler:
My girlfriend called it. I was telling her how much I liked Scott because he was old school, cool and a gentlemen. She told me she thought he was the killer and I was like, "What?! He's a teddy bear!" Wow, I didn't expect it at all. Pretty sick stuff that poor Lauren kinda fell in love with her son's killer. I went all the way on my first run and did what ever it took to get the address from the trials, but then I decided to take a gamble and not drink the poison since Madison obviously already knew who the killer was. I got lucky and found the right location of Shaun.
Now that I got all the good endings...time to have some fun lol. I've tried to let Shelby die but it ain't happening, I let him get shot at Kramer's mansion like 6 times, then he just ran off. I thought the story explained itself pretty well on my playthrough, but I still do have one question. Why did Ethan wake up at the specific streets with the oragami figure's in his hand after blacking out? Possibly the recent news of the oragami killer rubbing off on him mixed with the guilt of his other son's death?Last edited by REmaster; 02-25-2010, 07:41 PM."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."
