Follow those instructions, and when you get to the Recovery Menu, click 'Restore File System.' That's what worked when my Uncharted 2 data was corrupted. If there's corrupted data on your system, you can simply follow these steps and it should fix the problem. It worked for me, anyway.
Sadly this did nothing to fix things. I tried deleting the patch...still nothing. I'll experiment a bit more before deleting it all and starting over. I'm not so much worried about missing the big events as I am the small ones.

      • How far are you willing to go to get Heavy Rain faster?

        See what I did there?

Kill you, then mutilate your corpse.
          That's how far.

Oh. Well, sorry I couldn't help.

              • WARNING: Don't log into PSN right now.

A wide rash of game-crashing errors is spreading among the PS3-owning community at the moment, most of which can be chalked up to a 8001050F error code. This has led to a variety of unfortunate side-effects for those affected, including corrupted trophy information and an inability to access the PSN. When combined, those two issues prevent players from launching certain games, such as Heavy Rain, without being kicked back to the XMB.

                • Good thing I decided to randomly pick up Pokemon Pearl again today instead of playing God of War Collection. Seriously, first time I picked the game up since August.

                  • Amazing game. Finished it last night. Can't wait to replay it.
(Fortunately I don't have to wait as my PS3 Slim is unaffected by the Feb 29 problem.)

It's not so much the fact that we're trying to beat it fastest to get bragging rights. For me, it was just so addicting and enjoyable I actually wanted to sit down and play it through as fast as possible to solve the mystery.

Don't jump to assume everyone's trying to get e-fame.

...I wondered why my trophies list imploded last night while I was trying to get the Taxidermist again. For some reason all I can find is a Theme section with no themes in it when I try to access the thing from the game. I don't especially care about the trophies, since most of them don't accurately reflect what I've done anyway (Fallout 3 claim I've only played the last third of the game, for example) but I am concerned I've just list my save.

                        • ^ Unless you live in Europe, the Taxidermist won't be on PSN until March 4.

                          • Just beat the game myself. I LOVED IT. There were some flaws in the story but most of them were made to confuse the audience about the killer's identity.

Favorite charaters: Norman Jayden and Scott Selby.

                            • Playing through at the moment, it makes it a lot more intense because you know your character can actually die. It's a very fun game, to say the least.

                              • I'm really enjoying this at the moment, the story is brilliant and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

The only downside I'm having at the moment is the bugs in the game. It's crashed on me a couple of times so far and quite often the audio just cuts out.

                                Sorry for the double post.
