So God of War, What do you think about Kratos, the whole GoW series, the upcoming GoW3 and upcoming GoW movie directed by Bratt Ratner?

First of all, last I heard Ratner was rumored and not confirmed, and if he's confirmed, there's a great chance that movie will be disastrous.

Second of all, GoW and GoW2 were two of the best PS2 games ever.

And thirdly, the GoW3 teaser was pre-rendered, and if not, it will make PS3's explode when it comes out in *hopefully* 2009.

Chains of Olympus was awesome endeed, Kratos was angrier than ever there. I'am a big fan of the whole series as well. And Ratner was confirmed as a director of the movie in an interview to Ugo website, though I'am not happy about it. So what do you think would happen in GoW3, exsept Kratos killing everyone in his way. Maybe there was some rummors in the net?

Brett Ratner also on Guitar Hero movie now.

And I really think God of War is one of the most overrated series of all time.
I can play them once, and think they're good, then months later play them and think they're absolute garbage, dunno why.

Yeah, you are noy the only one who said that Dude. That is why I maid that topic to hear what people really thinks about the game and not to listen to different reviews. Though I like the game a lot and still like to play it.

Loved the first one, never got a chance to play the second one before my PS2 died, but now that it's been replaced I've been looking to get it.

I think my biggest issue with God of War is that it has little to no replay value. I completed all three of the ones that've been released so far, and each time I try out hard mode in hopes of finding a "new" experience.

But instead, I just get enemies who hit harder and a resulting softer Kratos. It's disappointing considering that Devil May Cry, when played on hard, gives enemies new attacks, new enemy placements as well as the ability for every enemy to devil trigger just like Dante/Nero can.

I think I prefer the Japanese handling my action games rather than SCEA Santa Monica.

Heck, I have higher hopes for Bayonetta than God of War 3.

Yup, this is where God of War games have been lacking...

...but I guess replay value will be higher than ever for God of War III thanks to Trophies.

Yeah, the GoW2 was epic, simple as that. So what do you think about GoW3 and was it planned to show some new footage of it on TGS?

Odds are God of War III is still fairly early in development...the earliest we'll see any more of it will be E3 2009.

I actually hated how GOW2's story completely neglected the special endings in God of War II which would have actually given Kratos better motivation for revenge, especially Spoiler:

It would be nice if they made Kratos a more level headed, cunning individual then a foolhardy brute like they portrayed him in GOW2.
