Boy oh boy, this game is amazing. I'm playing in the Beta right now, and anything you could have heard about this game is true.

It's so simple and so cute and yet it's the most fun I've had in a game in the longest time.

It hurts me to say this, but Sackboy > Chris Redfield...until they come out with a Chris RedSack and he can play in a user-created Resident Evil level! Oh yeah, you can make a Resident Evil level, you can make ANYTHING. I've seen recreations of Super Mario Bros. levels, Shadow of The Colossus, et cetera.

This game is truly amazing. The customization and replayability and community-friendly basis for this title is truly groundbreaking. The game comes out October 21st and I can't wait to get it.

Anyone wanna share their thoughts on LBP?

My dream of creating a RoboCop sackboy will be realised.

I've never heard of this game...must go do research. But your enthusiasm has me intrigued.

And Spencer...what about an ED-209 sackboy?

If the sackboys were larger, it would be a feasible if ambitious project.

Well, just make the "I'd buy that for a Dollar!" guy then.

What exactly can you do? Because I seen the first trailer of the four characters on a skateboard, and it looked ever so customizable, but I saw the new trailer, and it looks like some odd platformer, clarify please?

I think it is a platformer, where you can customize levels, characters, etc.

Of course, my knowledge only stems from watching a YouTube video about it.

Thank you, I appreciate the explination.
In that case, this should be fun; I would love to make some Project Zero/Fatal Frame levels and characters.
I'm going to be needing to save up some of my money.

You can make your own levels and put them up for other people to play and rate.

There's already tons of levels on the Beta created by others that can be 'hearted' by other people. At the end of every level is a live scoreboard that shows the top scores on that level.

The customization possibilities are endless. Here's just an example:

^ College students at Parsons Design school in NYC given 24 hours to create LBP levels.
Just look with some of the stuff that was come up with.

                      Chris RedSack...aww that's cute!

I plan on making an RE level...maybe. I do have the game preordered. Counting down the days til it comes out! And you're lucky you got to beta test...I know like 7 people that attempted to get a chance and all of them failed.

Yeah, there were like 3 or 4 different ways to get into the Beta this week, I got lucky.

It convinced me to buy the game.

I'd love to be selected for a beta test... pity I'm not that lucky.

Anyway, what is the "goal" of this game?

The goals are different in each level, that's the beauty of it -- you can make your own game.

It's a basic jump-grab-swing-pull switch-hang on for dear life platformer. It's really just too awesome to explain.

I was going to wait for this to go cheap, but I might get it sooner.
I don't have my PS3 online yet. Is there going to be enough out-of-the box material to tide someone over? And if I make some levels offline, can they be uploaded later, or can they only be created online?
I must admit, I spent a fair bit of time making tough levels on Mario VS Donkey Kong 2 on DS.
