I can't say that I find the whole 'cutesy' presentation very appealing.
But I do like being creative, so I'll keep an eye on this.
One of the early Tenchu games had a great level editor. I spent many hours making and refining my own levels. It was awesome!
More recently, I used to mess around with the Time Splitters FP, level maker. That was REALLY good. And yes, off course I made a Resident Evil level. There was a number of zombie models which were very handy.
I'm not into cutesy either, but making your Sackperson dance, swing their arms, headbang, b*tch-slap fellow Sackpeople AND rock their hips all the while changing their facial expressions with the d-pad is ALWAYS good for a quick laugh. Those little guys are so fun to mess around with.
I'm in the beta too thanks to a certain sexy beast.
But I think that Chris Redsack is not really a good name >_>
But on the topic - I've been really enjoying LittleBigPlanet, I think the art direction is top notch. The only thing that really concerns me is the jumping, which doesn't feel "right" when I think of how jumping in a platform game should be. I don't know how to explain it, but there's something weird about it.
Regardless, I'll pick it up when it releases, on Blu-Ray. Is it still a Downloadable Title or not?
I won't be picking it up on the 21st, even though I really, really want to.
I preordered SOCOM and I need to buy that...it leaves no $$$ leftover for LBP.
Where have people gotten this idea from? I thought until last week that it was a downloadable exclusive, but couldn't remember why i thought so.
The more i play the beta, the more i actually think this actually IS (not could be, actually IS) the biggest thing to happen to platform gaming since Super Mario World.
I sat down tonight to play some of the user created levels and was pretty blown away. The Mirrors Edge levels has a ton of potential, looks smart already. The Silent Hill level is suitably dark. And the God Of War level is incredible. I can't wait til the day when Resident Evil levels are clogging the whole game up, there's a ton of potential for it!
I say give it some time and we come up with a Raccoon City level for the game!
lol...the childhood friend had breast reduction surgery :P
Thankfully they made all the female models more realistic (in terms of proportions), especially for the purple haired girl.
Taking a page from the Wii Play playbook, Sony is going to bundle one of its more popular upcoming games, LittleBigPlanet, with a DualShock 3. It'll do it in Japan anyway, hoping that the Japanese video game consuming public will be awed by the woolen cuteness of Sackboy and bring some vibrating solenoids into their…
They've announced Dual Shock 3 bundles with the game in Japan.
Is the game very text-intensive? I don't imagine that it is, but I thought I'd ask. I can read a little Japanese, so I should be ok.
I need to upgrade to a DS3, especially since the announced about split-screen RE5, a second controller is a must now. So it looks like I'll be getting this as soon as it comes out in the bundle . I just hope there's something to do offline. Otherwise I'll have to wait a few months to play it.
SOCOM is terrible, whoever is putting LBP aside for that heap of shit clearly has their priorities wrong.
I'm excited for the Sephy and Snake Sackboys, they're adorable .
Some levels I've played that are amazing are the Silent Hill levels, as well as a VERY well done remake of MGS1, all the way up until the first Raven encounter. Ver well done I was very impressed.
