I'm considering purchasing a 60GB Premium pack

I'm considering purchasing a 60GB Premium pack, but I don't know too much about what games the system has on offer. What games do you recommend?

As far as the exclusives go, Gears Of War (either of them) is a brilliant tech demo for what the system can do, and is a damn fine game to boot. I'm sure you know enough about Halo 3 to know whether it's something that would interest you. Not to mention Fallout 3 that will eventually have exclusive DLC for the 360.

Hmm, I've played through Gears of War co-op round a friend's house and it's a superb looking game. Lots of fun, very visceral and a good showcase of what the 360 is capable of. I'm tempted by Mass Effect, since I like BioWare and I really enjoyed KOTOR on the original Xbox.

I'm yet to get stuck into Mass Effect, but it's rare to see a bad word said about it so you'd be onto a winner there for sure!

i need an honest opinion on the 360's hardware issues, i mean how high does the room temp need to be before it starts over heating ? will keeping it under a fast ceiling fan work better ?

Honestly, buy a 60gb pro model, and there's no issue as far as i'm aware.

Xbox Live Arcade has so many awesome games on it! You should go back round your friend's house and check out what's available. Finally, the 60gb SKU is a great choice as far as Xbox 360s go, they're equipped with the Falcon chip which is said to prevent the Red Ring of Death.
