your very first horror game

halloween is coming up so what was everyones very first horror based game.

for me it was actually residnet evil 2 but in my eyes the real first one was silent hill for the PS1, i rented it and brought it to a campground and nearly never slpet in our trailer that night.

I don't get it...surely you'll only ever play your FIRST horror game for the FIRST TIME ever once? So how can you have two?

Mine was Trap Door on the Amstrad CPC.

i take my horror in different strands, resident evil is in a genre i call action horror IE you have a semblence of weapons and items.

Silent hill you play an average joe who has no idea of how to use weapons or items and falls into the straight horror genre.

granted to everyone both games are survival horror but in my mind i was only scared by silent hill

Friday the 13th on the NES. This was probably some time before 1991 since I remember playing it back when I was living in New York.

Mine was silent hill, on my brothers ps, I just loved it, then came along Silent Hill 2 and everything changed, now I love SH2 more than any other silent hill (though I haven't played SH:HC)

Well, I first watched my uncle play Resident Evil, but then the first horror game I played was Resident Evil 2.

Resident Evil on the PS1. I can't remember exactly but there was a game on ethier the NES or SNES that scared me too, however I never actually played it though, just watched my sister play it.

I'm not sure if it's a horror game per se, but I always found it really scary, with the aliens always killing me.

Another really early horror game I enjoyed playing was Alien Trilogy.

I forgot all about that one. I guess that would be my first one as well. Or strecthing it back to Xenophobe. The game sucked, but it had a multi player (2).
