1. StarCraft 2 (I'm assuming all races will be playable in multiplayer/custom games upon the first (Terran) release; since I don't care about the campaign, I'll only be buying that one)
2. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (sequel to my favorite shooter ever)
3. Resident Evil 5 (no-brainer)
4. Mirror's Edge (I refuse to play this game until the PC version is released D:<)
5. Diablo 3 (the first two Diablo games were too awesome for words)

Totally forgot about God of War 3. Although I might as well, I'm pretty sure it's still far, far away.

That seems to be a recurring trend in the world of PS3 exclusives.

Well, there's so much more work to be done. Once they finish a game like... Ratchet and Clank Future, they already have the framework on PS3, so it's easier to make a sequel faster. They know what they're dealing with.
But to create an original title on a current gen platform, the production time and cost is through the roof. Frankly, I don't mind waiting, to get a good game.

i agree, i never get impaitent, if they release a game early it will always be broken, in fact id rather wait 5 more years if capcom said they will scrap RE5 and return to the classic style.

Well, frankly, it wouldn't be unlike Capcom to scrap something at 80% and start over. It's happened before.

yeah i know, im hopeing for another repeat of it, i want to play RE 1.5 and RE 3.5 as well, they looked good, especially RE 3.5, it looked 500 times better than RE4.

Sadly, 3.5 wasn't terribly far along. Chances are you'll never get any more of it. Which is sad because I always felt it had the potential to be a much more interesting story...

From what I've seen, RE4 was doomed from the start. You were either in some airship running away from a black fog monster (from Lost?). Or you were in a mansion fighting hook men who looked like ghosts. Neither is truly Resident Evil.

Maybe. I do think the Ghost one is the best, since they weren't ghosts at all bu hallucinations created by Leon's infection with Progenator. The idea of being unable to tell between reality and illusions appeals to me greatly. Add in that, at least by rumour, it had to do with you trying to grab Sherry back from Umbrella and zombies and I think it would have been an interesting game.

Especially if they played up the hallucination aspect. Imagine Leon, walks around a corner, sees a monster and unleashes a round from his gun. The enemy slumps...Leonblinks, rubs his eyes...oh dear. It was a person. The moral dilema Leon faces, the emotions...all good stuff, if done right.

Well yeah, Sherry's model got recycled into the squeaky bitch known as Ashley.
But then... If you're seeing some weird hookman ghost thing, and it's a hallucination... Wouldn't you just know that it's a hallucination? As opposed to real monsters which are zombies and BOW?

Or, indeed, the killer dolls and evil deer head.

Having had some blood poisoning and hallucinated once before, I say no. Even if you know it's not real you can't help but react to it, and if you're mind is far enough gone you'l not know it's an hallucination.

As for the damage they do, well, it's not real...but they say it's possible to die in your dreams if you get killed. I suppose it could be a case of if Leon thought he was being killed then he really could die, maybe of a heart attack or some such.

Yeah, but Leon is hallucinating, not you. I mean from a player point of view. If you see a hook man you go, "Okay, that's not real, I'll just run away, and not waste my ammo on it."

You could say the same about Silent Hill 2, really. It's taking place at least partially from James' phyche.

And you can run from a Hookman. Or a zombie, really. If it damages you then it doesn't make much gameplay difference as to whether it's a hallucination or not.
