Quake 4 kinda pointless?

I just finished the demo, and here's a few-word summary: Doom 3 with more action.

The graphics were the same.
The interface was the same.
The music was samey.
Goddamnit, I reckon even some of the marines were ripped straight out of Doom 3.

How unoriginal has id Software become? It's been a constant problem for them from the start (Wolfenstien 3D = Spear of Destiny, Doom = Doom 2 = Ultimate Doom = Final Doom = whatever other Doom).

They should really start thinking up better concepts, or fire their creative manager :

It's a Quake game, so all it was supposed to deliver was mindless shooting, which it does, and does well, serving its point. Only bad thing in that game was the vehicle sections.

It also wasn't made by Id Software, it was made by Raven.

And it was built on the Doom 3 at more or less the same time as Doom 3. It's the same as Doom 3 in the same way that every Source engine based game is the same as Half-Life 2.

Plus, you're kinda three years late to the party now, who cares anymore.

It's Quake 4!
I like it, just wish the Xbox 360 version would run as smooth as other iD Tech 4 games on the 360 (And the old Xbox *cough*Doom 3*cough*)

Also, this reminds me... I should snatch Quake Wars sometime... I kinda liked "what I saw" in the demo.

Yes they probably would have to play games more than the average person but they usually have set hours like a job.

It's the same as any other professional sportsman, they have to train.
