I like what I see and hear.

But I'm not gonna be an active player or anything.

I saw the online video review. This game looks awesome and really brings back memories. I am way into retro-gaming.

SFII was a groundbreaking title, and is still remarkable today. (Plus, I dig animated 2-D games over the 3-D ones.)

What Carnivol said. I loved playing STFII Turbo as a kid and this game looks great. However, I'd probably never play it. I'm not too into fighters these days.

Impulse buy to be honest, since I own so many versions of the game already. Having said that, I'm glad I bought it; online is solid and the new sprites look great (though not a single additional frame of animation is added). The new fan-made OST is pretty good too.

Just make sure your TV can overscan well, since it seems that the game isn't running at full 1920 horizontal resolution. The select screen and victory/loss screens have borders on the top as well.

I haven't played the game in ages, so I'm beyond rusty.. and was never a big fan of SSFII Turbo either. I'll be on for a while from 10:00PM eastern to midnight on PSN; my handle is Verdugo04 if anyone is looking for a punching bag.

My general thought is this: I need an arcade stick for my PS3, really bad. The sixaxis just doesnt cut it anymore, after owning so many arcade machines.

Go for it... well, you'll have to wait I suppose.

The PS controllers have been good for Tekken only (even tourney level), and the Dual Shock 3' R2 button's inadequacy alone warrants an arcade stick if you're going to play SF seriously.

You can also wait on the Mad Catz sticks.. not joking here. They're being designed by some longtime SF players and arcade stick experts (IIRC's Markman is working on it)

Bought it just now, downloading it atm.

EDIT: Played it for an hour, to be honest im amazed, its alot better then I was expecting, really like the Remixed OST, hope to be able to get a hands on a copy sometime *the ones in HD remix, not the originals as some of them had lyrics in them I couldn't stand*.

I played it for a solid hour this morning. I think I liked playing it with the SNES controller better

I like it, but I get the feeling I'm playing the game wrong. >_>

I'm doing what Carn calls "The Mortal Kombat Method"

But still, the game is pretty awesome, the sprites are amazing to look at and the backgrounds are on the whole, very nice to look at too. I'm absolutely loving the remixed soundtrack too, does a brilliant job.

I did that once 8 years ago, and it did end up costing me as much as those. Actually more, only because I stained it and put a few coats of urethane.

On that note, I'll have to get a new DS3. The R2 button is mangled now.

Ive got arcade parts lying around my room, so it wont be too bad to build. I could just rig the PS3 up to my Universal cabinet, I dunno, would require me buying a VGA adapter for the PS3 (which of course would be converting the signal). We'll see when Im home
