I bought this game on Thursday evening, and finished it just then (Saturday evening). Yep. 48 hours it took me, and only 6 of those were spent playing it

I wish it was a bit longer, because everything about the game is beautiful. The graphics, the sound, and especially the massive land sandbox you have to play in (apparently 1000km squared).

I managed to run it full spec on my laptop and it looked great. I must say that this would be in my top 5 games for this year (if not heading the list). 9/10 (a point off for being a bit short).

Anyone else play this? Your thoughts?

I remember this game, I loathed it. A generic sandbox title, with a dull plot.
    See you in hell.

i've played it, its a good GTA clone, the world is absolutely MASSIVE which isn't always a good thing though. The game was a bit to arcadey for my taste though.

Thought it was a decent arcadey sandbox shooter myself.

AJ, how can it not be a good thing? Beautiful graphics are always complimented by a massive world.

Cause most of it is useless countryside which serves no purpose but to slow you down, it also gets annoying when trying to get to point A to B during a mission, you trash your vehicle and can't call in for an air recovery, so have to proceed on foot if you're in the middle of the countryside which takes ages.

I never had any problems. Getting somewhere was always quickest with a heli. I would gain some speed in a car, stunt onto the roof, deploy the parachute, then use the grappling gun to attach to the heli and jump to the tail. Then I would hijack it

the same reason it was not good with oblivion, too many similar looking places in the islands and such.

Yeah but you could move around the place a lot faster. I hated Morrowind because it was such a SLOW game.

I've got it on PS2. I enjoyed it for a little while but then quickly got sick of it. I was impressed at first, at the large world to explore. I love GTA style, free roaming games. But most of the world is empty and bland. The buildings look shit up close, all flat like painted walls and you can't enter any of them. I got the feeling it could have been good, with a lot of improvements. But as it is... meh.

You should try the original 'Mercenaries' game. That is kinda similar but done a lot better.

Mecenaries? I played a demo of World In Flames, and was not impressed. The controls were shitter than RE4 PC.

Yes, but I said the 'original' game, not the sequel. The sequel on 'next gen' consoles looks a lot better but many people say the old original plays much better.
