WHAT. THE. FUCK?
Why the hell would Nintendo and Tecmo pay people to advertise in a French magazine if it was all a mistake? HOW could it be a mistake?
CL News Post
I gave up with this ever coming to Europe, thats why I imported the JP version and completed it...
This has got to be some kind of sick joke. I feel ill...
F**K YOU, Nintendo!
If you don't want to release the game, then sell the damn rights to Sony, so they can port it to PS3. Actually, the graphics are about on par with FF3, so they could even release it on PS2.
I don't think I can play the Japan version. When I got 'HotD Overkill' it updated my Wii system to the latest version. I don't think that 'Free Loader' thing will work anymore.
If this ever does get released, it's gonna be so old already! ...

How exactly do you make and print an advert "by mistake" :p
I've made a lot of mock ups in my time, but nothing of that "accidentally" made it all the way into print (closest I can think of is when they take the wrong version/variation of something and puts it into print).
Of course, if this was an early released April issue... it could've been one nasty April Fools. But I see a lot of stores still listing the game in their system for Europe... who knows.
As for Wii and System Updates, as long as your Wii isn't using the 4.0 firmware yet; you can use the Twilight Hack to install the Homebrew Channel and run GeckoOS for all your import needs. (HBC works after the 4.0 update as long as you don't move it to your SD card, but the installation method for it has been blocked off.)

I know, right? How the HELL do they make and print something BY MISTAKE.
Oh, and heres Tecmos input for this:
Originally posted by TECMO"Nintendo holds the publishing rights to 'Fatal Frame Wii,' which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008. Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America – consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America."
FUCK YOU NINTENDO.
This is the rsaon my Wii catches dust.

There will be Europeon release. Or Nintendo will end in a fiery rage of doom.
What the fuck are they thinking? 'Well, you know, we have a game ready to go pretty much, but we don't want there fucking dirty money and so we're not gonna do it. HAHAHAHAHAH!'

Oh this is just rich.

I bet they'll say this was a 'printing error' too.
It translates to:
"Five girls abducted and locked in a mansion, are fortunately saved by a policeman. It seems a happy ending, but instead is the beginning of a nightmare: a few years later, two of the girls have died and the other three do not remember anything of the period before/during(?) the kidnapping. So (they) decide to return to the mansion, which is full of secrets and ghosts, which can only be destroyed through a special camera and its flash.
The Game - exclusive to the Nintendo Wii - quickly blows players on/out(?) of their chairs, thanks to its adult and paranormal content."

So we've had adverts in the British OFFICIAL NINTENDO mag, a French Joystig mag, and a GAMESTOP Italian mag?
They all can't be errors/mistakes, if they are, what the hell? Grrr....Last edited by Gradon; 04-10-2009, 09:56 AM.

Ahah.
Well, if one is to assume "Zero: A Japanese Ghost Story" is the actual European name for the game (and not just an article headline); it could explain why everyone's getting shot down when it comes to questions about the game. Whoever is answering all the questions about it at Nintendo of Europe might not know what game people are talking about if they've been asking stuff like "Hay gyz! Wan kans i paly Fatal Frame IV - Mask of the Lunar Eclipse?"
(This also goes for "Hay guyz! Y u print Fatal Frame IV ad in magazine!?" -Print ad for what? We've never heard of that... must've been a mistake if we printed something for that. Sorry!")
As for Tecmo, Tecmo doesn't have a European branch as far as I know, so assuming that people are a bit silly and not thinking things through; they might've been bothering the US branch about stuff concerning Japan<->Europe, which is something they most likely can't answer to.
Also, as of now, I believe Tecmo + KOEI = True (And KOEI's been somewhat active on the European front in recent years)Last edited by Carnivol; 04-10-2009, 06:55 PM.

Anyway, what does Reggie have to do with Fragile? That's a Bandai Namco title. If anyone's to blame for the lack of localization for that one, it should probably be Namco Hometek.Last edited by Carnivol; 04-13-2009, 12:13 PM.
