Chaos didn't go back in time, he just lost his physical body and is now accompanying KOS-MOS as she "sleeps". Beings in Xenosaga have two dimensions to themselves, real and imaginary (this is what the Gnosis are). Chaos lost the former. As for Jin, his soul, along with those of the Gnosis, was sent to Lost Jerusalem. He'll be resurrected along with the Gnosis as humans once more.

The database just says his future form is not yet determined but that he still exists. So I wouldn't really say he died. He can't really die as he's the universe's failsafe.
But you were right he didn't go to Lost Jerusalem.

The entire MGS3 ending. I didn't cry but founding out the truth was horrifying. I felt so sad.

Silent Hill 2 also had it's moments where you just didn't expect this or that to happen.

The first time through, I really connected with James when

he killed Eddie, and he was just shocked that he killed a human being.

After playing through every other time, though, I kinda laugh. Those who've beaten it know why.

I actually didn't expect that you had to fight him. Hell, I figured he was crazy, but not that crazy.

Don't see what's so sad about SH2. Well apart from Angela.
James himself was pretty crazy. He killed his wife and all out of frustration at lack of sex.
Though SH4 suggests either the In Water or Maria ending are the canon ones so i guess that's sad.

The biggest Silent Hill 2 moment for me was with Angela's last scene. Even though you were back in control, you still had no control as you watched her ascend the stairs. It made me feel so bad.

Oh, another one I forgot to mention. Final Fantasy VIII, during the end FMV, during the Laguna scene. Man, that's like the only, ONLY romance related scene during which I've ever cried.

When Aeris died was pretty sad... I was fuckin' shocked the first time round.

I was happy too...both for Tifa and myself. Aeris to me was annoying. I didn't like her character much. And when I was younger I was a tomboy...so the pink was a turn off too. Not to mention all the effort you had to put into her to get her final limit only to watch it all be for nothing...

I'll add losing some of my Final Fantasy Tactics characters was upsetting at times too. I lost an awesome generic and Mustadio once, and with Mustadio dead I couldn't complete the side quests to get some of the other secret characters.

If Jill dies in RE5 I honestly don't know how I will feel. I guess it depends on the way she dies.
On some level I think it would add some dimension to the story, and to Chris's character.
