this is why i have been a little anti Chris lately, i see Jill's death as just something to fuel Chris's rage and to give him more character development, and that pisses me off so much as id rather Chris die to fuel Jill more, actually i don't want either to die, but id choose Chris die over Jill.

i found another final fantasy scene that made me cry and that was when tidus and yuna kissed after the seymour battle 2. it was actually really beautiful and made me feel good

See, this is the type of thing that's required when people take their games so serious. @Resident Evil 5 possibly murdering some Jill.

You need more powerful measures to leave an impact and such.
I personally think that there are few things that leaves more of an impact than to basically kill a well established character or remove a well established element of some sort. (Which is of course how you create a scenario that maybe actually make even the most rock solid bastard feel anger and/or shed some man-tears).

I really do hate it when any type of sequel/follow up based narrative introduces new characters that exist only for the purpose of being killed five minutes later. You have no reason to care. (Oh noes. My nameless henchmen friends got killed and I have to get out of here on my own! SURPRISE! Hey, there's a guy by the name of BOB and BOB is INFECTED. Sure hope BOB does not turn into a ZOMBIE when he has to sit down for a five minute nap! Oh crap! It's the bad man! I heard he killed the guy who was two steps ahead of me in the queue at Walmart the other day... No clue who he was, but damn... Can't believe he's dead!)

I think they're a little late on that one. See, that's EXACTLY why they should have killed Ashley in RE4. Because then Leon would've experienced some character development.
What, they finished the game and said, "Oh crap... Maybe we should've done that. I know, let's compensate by killing off a fan favorite!"

If they wanted to kill a fan favorite, they should've done the franchise a favor and killed Leon.

If they wanted to kill a fan favorite, they should've done the franchise a favor and killed Leon.

yeah but Leon dieing would be funny though, he'd probably say some stupid one liner and ruin all emotion in the scene.

yeah it wouldbe a lot better and make more sence to kill Claire, although i don't want her to die either, it would make more sense than killing Jill.

When I played RECV I felt that Chris and Claire were so distant,Claire was ok,but Chris was like "nevermind" :X

It's funny to read this.
It's like when one person finds a flaw to RE4 or Leon, people scream HATER to them, and it's quite frankly annoying.

I can't believe how many times its been said, but its like a fucking war with the classic fans, the neutral fans and the new fans.
