  • And yes, in case you folks were wondering, there is indeed in-game Twitter in Uncharted 2.

    uploaded a Cinema file for #UNCHARTED2 to http://www.naughtydog.com/: http://bit.ly/3d95lb

Question for Big Stu: how did you get those pictures online? I can watch my matches on my PS3 but I can't find anything on the ND site.

I think you should just bite the bullet and pick-up Uncharted 1 prior to playing Uncharted 2. It'll help endear you to the characters, and make you very familiar with the gameplay (though the demo may do this as well).

Not to mention you'll be purchasing/owning one of the finest games in the PS3 library.

Yeah, the shooting in UC is different, but in the context of that demo, it comes off as crappy because it's not smooth recticle or anything. But after playing up to chapter 4 or 5 in the first game (the fortress), naughty dog has me. It's actually more of a realstic aiming and weapon system, more slower pace, but there's some real satisfaction in landing a headshot. But as far as writing and story and GRAPHICS--it's vanilla-chocolate flavored awesomeness. Even if the writing can be a bit too witty, it's still entertaining as heck. When I played the demo too, it doesn't help I was playing it on a SDTV. Man, HD really makes a difference in the immersion factor.

And as far as Uncharted 2--just played my first game, and HOLY SHIT! I think I just found my new favorite "real" online game. (RE5 Versus's being my favorite "quirky" one). Not too sound like a fanboy, but Xbox! You're in trouble! And I say that in all fairness, as I owned a 360 for over two years before i got a ps3 for MGS4. It's really funny how now I find my ps3 getting played more than my 360, when before the opposite was true. I don't know, Sony finally is starting to kick out the old-school juice, and that juice is very sweet!

(Though, Splinter Cell Conviction has me by the balls. Go Ubisoft)

        • These two videos are great. "The Lessons of Uncharted 2." Taking what they did right/wrong with Drake's Fortune, and making it better.

They save to your PS3 hard drive, so i had to move them over to my PC with a memory stick and upload to my own webspace. I imagine you can just use the PS3 web browser though.

            • Uncharted 2 will have twitter support

Naughty Dog is hell-bent on pushing the online functionality of Uncharted 2 beyond anything else on the PlayStation 3. The multiplayer demo reveals yet another new feature for the upcoming PS3 game: Twitter support. According to The BBPS, you'll be able to have the game automatically tweet updates whenever you connect to a multiplayer game, unlock a Trophy, or complete a single-player chapter. Twitter support is already live, as evidenced by these tweets from Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer and SCEA's Jeff Rubenstein.

The auto-tweets will send inquisitive readers to a detailed stats page on Naughty Dog's website. Here, you can see someone's kill/death ratio, career length, amount of virtual money, and more. Further details will be broken down in the "Match History," "Weapons" and "Medals" tabs -- but all those features are currently "coming soon."

                • The last game I played was so unbelievably laggy...it was nearly unplayable. People teleporting everywhere, shots not registering, people appearing and disappearing at the drop of a dime, being killed by ghosts -- it was...really bad. I hope that game was just a fluke.

I'm still confused by this...there's a match that valentinesdead and I played last night that I want to upload to the web, but I still can't find it on my PS3. Does it save automatically? I'm in the Cinema mode right now and all I can do is send my saved videos to friends...I don't see anything on how/where it saves on the PS3.

                    • When you take a photo, that photo automatically saves. Chances are if you've clicked the camera a bunch of times, you've got a whole bunch of shots on your XMB!

                      • Oh, well, that's lame. I thought you could upload entire videos.

Well, videos i'm not sure of, haven't tried. But don't you click on your saved film and there's an upload option there?

Yeah...and when you're linked with Twitter, it posts a tweet that links you to the 'match history' part of the Naughty Dog site that says "Coming Soon" so hopefully there'll be a video option when the game launches.

By the way, how do you take pictures? I've pressed every single button and gone into every single menu and I don't know how to do it.

EDIT: more reviews coming in. 10/10 from Games Radar.

                              • IGN scores the game a 9.5.

Looks like we have some real AAA, Game of The Year material here, folks.
