The mechanics are there, but...ehh. I dunno yet. It could be amazing, or it could just plain suck.


EDIT: That interview has me excited. Competitive multiplayer for up to ten people, co-op for up to three people. Deathmatch and CTF game modes, among others. I have to say I think I'm most excited about co-op. It sounds like the single player campaign will be just that, but then there's an alternate co-op campaign with up to three players where you take on AI-controlled enemies. Sounds really fucking awesome.

This is definitely my most anticipated game for 2009.

What's crazy cool on top of all that competitive goodness -- well, besides the slew of weapons from the game such as sniper rifles, the Desert-5, the SAS-12 shotgun, and the Colt Defender? You're going to be able to save entire multiplayer matches to your hard drive and then edit them and view them in Cinema Mode. Rotating the camera at will and zooming in on specific fights will be just some of the commands you have for the ten cinema save slots at your fingertips. Naughty Dog didn't show the mode, but it definitely sounds interesting.

Damn...sounds HOT.
