Uncharted 2!

I just experienced a massive glitch while playing the game on Crushing. It's not the first big glitch I've encountered, but the others are apparently pretty common. Both times on Normal and Hard, the game froze after the battle near the end of the game where you fight a bunch of soldiers and guardians in the same room. I had to restart my PS3 on both occasions, but it didn't actually do any harm.

However, I was playing the game on Crushing, and I had just gotten to the tunnel on the train, and suddenly the sound cut out. I kept playing, because other than that, it was fine, but then the background disappeared and was just stark black. I could see the entire train ahead of me as it turned through the tunnel, because there were no longer any walls. It was all just open space.

Then the train turned black, and the background and character models turned white. Finally, the game froze up on me and went to a loading screen where it finally stalled and the screen just went blank. I restarted my PS3 only to find that my progress up to that point on Crushing had been completely erased.

Needless to say, I was not happy.

Now I can't even play the game. I can get to the main menu, but whenever I try to start actually playing the game, it goes to the loading screen, but then the music starts skipping, and the dagger is left endlessly spinning in the corner.

Man, I'm glad I didn't actually buy this and got it through Gamefly instead.

Geez, I really hope that's just the disc screwing you up and not the PS3. That blows.

I was afraid it might be my PS3 (despite not even being a month old), so I tried a couple other games, and they all worked fine. Then I remembered the patch that was recently released, so I downloaded it in the off chance it might actually fix the problem, and thankfully, it seems to have worked.

Still, I'm not particularly looking forward to having start over from scratch in Crushing again.

Good to know you got that problem fixed. I think I would've been freaking out had that happened to me. Good thing you only have to start fresh on crushing and not the whole thing. But I agree with you , I wouldn't look forward to starting anew on Crushing.

hey what are your guys levels in multiplayer? I'm asking cus recently I seemed to be teamed with a lot of low ranked people, and even if I get 20+ kills we still lose and it's very annoying, I mean how can someone go 1 and 14? That's just plain bad

I'm level 22. This double cash weekend thing has made me get levels pretty quick. I think my rank is 13. Does anyone know how ranking is determined?

Rank usually depends on how good you do in the match, and if you win also, I'm lvl 44 but ranked like 29 because I don't play the ranked match too much, justa lot of deathmatch

I'm level 11. So far I'm average, trying to get used to the maps.

yeah when I first got the game the Sanctuary map was strange to me, but after a couple of games in each level you get the gist of it

there is a type of game that gives you a rank there is a number next to your level its in the color of purple and the more matches you win the higher the rank. Me,Valentinesdead, CR29 and Rosetta played a few of those matches. Other than that I never really bothered with it.

I would say I'm close in skill to Jill's Boob.

Nonetheless I just had my first veritable (6-kill) streak; I remember someone said that blindfire was useful. In a situation where clusters of opponents were piling in that worked well.

Just got the platinum trophy, well.... i have must say Uncharted 2 Crushing Mode is a bit easier than in Uncharted Drake's Fortune, except for the final boss... fuck that bastard and his damn shotgun, beating him is one of the hardest things I've ever done in my gaming career, seriously.

Now it's time for some multiplayer, i myself is looking for someone to play with! anybody?
