Yeah... If It's for the iPhone or the iPod touch, it would be kind of a letdown. But it's nothing new. There's an original Metal Gear Solid game for the N'GAGE. So it wouldn't surprise me.

Looking at the teaser ad, I wouldn't say its for xbox at the moment, unless we read in the next few days that Microsoft have bought the MGS series. But I think if they were to make a new MGS, then it would be all online, and no story mode at all, lets call it..."Metal Gear Onl!ne"

Well, considering that when MGS4 came out, it sold over one million copies worldwide on the FIRST DAY... I don't think Konami is gonna abandon Sony just like that.

But yeah, there was an MGS game for the NGAGE, or some other mobile platform, I don't remember, it happened like, before MGS2 storyline wise, it was about Snake and Otacon going after some Metal Gear, not too positive about the details though.

Visually it was quite good considering the limitations of the platform.

I can't help but get the feeling that this is going to be something on the Wii. Most likely not the next saga but something new or Acid on the Wii. Just another PSP series making its way to the Wii thats all.

Someone took a picture of a 360 and circled sections of the console that "looked" like it was hinting at a 360 style MG game. But if you setup the Wii on its stand you get the best results to the equation. You get both the right side up and upside down "i" and the Wii console uses that particular symbol for its power button. The Wii although getting tons of shovle ware it could just be time that Konami wants to place a well known franchise on the Wii to help bring in money.

Another thought is the DSi. Same thoughts as before but again it does have more of a resemblance to the handheld in regards to DS"i" and the same power symbol is used.

I don't think it's DSi, afterall, it's not a new system. So it's not like if they made this game, it would NOT be playable on the regular DS, right?

Everything uses that power symbol though. It's on my PS3, it's on my MacBook, it's on my old RCA VHS player, it's the universal symbol for power. So the symbol itself has nothing to do with the Wii OR the Xbox.

No they weren't. While the first was flawed, MGA2 was a really fun gam to play. I wouldn't mind another Acid title, but more full fledged with more videos attached to cards. The games are pretty much fan service hence why I enjoyed the first two.

Although MGA2 was very fun to play, but I liked the first one better. Visually, and story wise, I thought it was better. I didn't feel the cell shaded look too much, not for Metal Gear. Also, the costume designs were a bit... Well, stupid. But it WAS fun.

I hope this next Metal Gear game is Portable Ops 2. That game sold well, and we were lead to believe that there would be a sequel. It would be interesting to seeing the Sons of Big Boss born, and how Big Boss's betrayal and construction of Outer Heaven. But that is how you could continue the series, by completing the backstory of Big Boss, and remaking Metal Gear 1 and 2 into 3D games.

There was a sequel: MGS4.

The problem is, how are you gonna show the birth of the sons of big boss, and the construction of Outer Heaven as an action game? I mean, that sound more like the material for a drama movie based on MGS, rather than an espionage action video game.

Well, as you know, MG is full of cutscenes and story. It can be done. But, I'm not saying make a game based on that. There is still a piece of story that hasn't been told yet. Big Boss goes on a mission, and during the mission, he becomes un-conscious, and then while he is out, they clone him, and that is how the 3 Snakes are born. They could have the player, play this mission.

Play the mission.
Cutscene - Sons of BB are born.
Next mission.
Cutscene - Parts of Outer Heaven being constructed.
Next mission.
End Scene - Big Boss defects, Outer Heaven is complete, and Metal Gear is in his possession.

So like, a collection of acts like in MGS4, except happening at various times in the storyline? I guess it could work.

I'm pretty sure this next game will be another entrance in the Ac!d series for iPhone. Konami seemed to be good friends with Apple with all the product placement for MGS4, and there are the upside-down "!" symbols, synonymous with Metal Gear Ac!d.

Although, if it was just an Acid title for the iPhone... Would they really try to hype it up with such mysterious message? Create such a buzz?
