Doesnt surprise me. Jobs has stated that iPhone is a gaming console and a number of developers and publishers are working on this marvellous, untainted market of superficial and vane (sp?) fashion-kiddies.
Well see how it pans out. I know EA already has a huge barrage of games planned for the iMarket. Starting with a truckload of Tetris clones.

I don't understand what the fuss is about apple stuff. Everyone I ask gives me this diatribe about how Macs are better for graphic art and stuff.
Last time I checked, I could install photoshop/illustrator/flash/etc on both windows and a mac, so whats the special feature on macs that makes them superior?
In my opinion, Macs are computers for people who don't know, and refuse to learn, how their computer works.

Mother of God.
It's officially official.
KONAMI will make downloads of METAL GEAR SOLID TOUCH, DanceDanceRevolution S Lite, SILENT HILL The Escape and Frogger for the iPhone and iPod touch progressively available from late this month.
METAL GEAR SOLID TOUCH is an original game that brings to life the world and characters of MTAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS (MGS4).Last edited by Vector; 12-17-2008, 08:50 PM.

I know Windows, inside and out. I used windows for many, many years. And still, Im sitting here in front of a Mac Pro, running OSX as my primary OS. Why? Because the interface is clean. It is organized in a way that makes since, without me digging through the registry. I can use Terminal to do just about anything I want to. As of right now, it is still more secure. It doesnt require fancy programs to stay clean and running well for the general user, who may not know as much as you or I.
I understand its a choice, and fully understand why people use Windows. Its familiar, it hasnt changed in years. Stuff does generally work pretty decent. But to rail on OSX users for no reason is a bit much. There are plenty of Mac owners out there that use OSX to capacities that many Windows users dont seem to grasp, its not a Fisher Price operating system, and if anything, is just as deep, if not deeper, then Windows.
That being said, MGS looks impressive, but itll be interesting to see if its any fun. A lot of the iPhone games Ive played can look good, and play terrible, or look terrible, and be a blast, or a mix, but it should still be good.

I dont hate Macs, I hate the fashion-culture behind it. People buying their often overpriced products because "its cool" and now exclusive MGS content to even further emphasize that.

Its for dummies because there arent issues? Dummies are the ones who go and get a virus. Trust me, Im not talking about you or I, people who know what we are doing when it comes to computers. But honestly, these dummies are just actual consumers, the bulk of the market, who just want to sit down and search the interwebzSo why not have them use OSX? The fact of the matter is, yeah, OSX isnt perfect, but as of this moment, there are less actual attacks on an OSX system right now. It could change, sure, since there are flaws, but it hasnt yet.
Ive never seen it advertised in some way that makes it seem cheap, baby system. Sure, they stretch the facts, but thats what advertising is. Apple is trying to expand into that dummy / normal consumer territory, and tells them what they want to hear. They want money, and the only way to do that is to take away market from normal PC users. They arent trying to sway youMicrosoft doesnt advertise its advance features, and neither does Apple.
And as the past couple years have shown, Apple are bringing the prices closer to the competition, but are still that bit off, but not as far off as many seem to think. I know a system that has tons of PCI-e slots, supports 32 or 64 gigs of ram, 8 cores and all that isnt cheap, coming from Apple or not.
Some people also are blinded by that fashion culture you talk about. Yes, there are people that act all high and mighty since they own a mac. But walk onto any college campus now, and youll see that a large portion of the market buying Macs right now are just college students who want a nice, reliable system to work on, and arent even apart of the dummy culture, or the fashion sense.
And I fully agree about games, its something thats being worked on but just isnt there right now. Since OSX was born with PPC processors, the development community for the games just werent there in the past when Windows developers were blossoming, so yeah, there is a game of catchup to be had, and its slowly progressing.
So yeah, Apple isnt perfect, but some people just seem to have the old Internet-flawed version of Apple in their minds. I know I did until a few years ago. Branch out and look at what the average person wants, and not us knowledgeable geeks and you'll see that it is Apple that is reaching the consumer right now, making gains in the marketplace and all that.
Oh, and I have Vista installed, and dont mind that, so Im not an OMGZMICROSOFT!! person haha
