And I agree when it comes to Sephiroth. In FFVII he was a bishie to an extent but he was still very masculine in face and body. Once AC came around his waist got shrunk down and his face got prettied up.
But no one besides fanboys pays attention to the Compilation. Oh and girls.

The "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII". Y'know, all the extra stuff that Square added after the game's release, like Advent Children, Before Crisis and so on. IMO, that was just a cheap attempt to cash in a popular name, the story wrapped itself nicely with just FFVII and FFVII alone. Now, after the likes of Crisis Core, I can't take the original seriously anymore. Sad but true.

i actually agree with biohazard. i thought the series was better without the voice acting, at least give the option of the japanese voices at least. i dun wanna hear bubbles from PPG everytime i play FFX.

Oh, FF12 was probably the worst when it came to girly men. Vaan is obvious. Also, that chick you take into the mines... wait, the Prince?! He even sounds like a girl! Now that's just... pushing it way too far.

So guys...would a next-gen remake of FFVII work, or not? It could be what REmake was to RE1, or it could be a shit bomb. Personally, I've never been a big fan of FFVII (or game remakes for that matter), heck, I think it's overrated and all, but maybe a remake would change my perspective, I don't know. Yourselves?

I wouldn't buy it to save my life. I think certain games, like RE1, although started a cult following, everyone acknowledged that RE1 was far from perfect. And a remake was welcome.
But FF7, overrated or not, is one of those games that's so iconic, that it should NOT be remade. First of all, I think voice overs wouldn't do justice to it, anyway.
But yeah, it's just one of those games like Zelda Ocarina of Time, like Silent Hill 2, where it's so iconic that it should not be remade... I mean, it's like having a remake of "The Godfather" you know?

i personally think with the storage space on discs now we can have a compilation of final fantasy!

think about it, a 4 disc set for the 360 and a 1 BD disc for the PS3 and 1-9 for the Wii
