I love the God of War series, and GOW3 is one of my main reasons why I'm getting a PS3, on top of the fact it can play Blu Rays and I'm not paying for a Blu Ray player when I know I'm gonna want a PS3 at some point. The trailer is really good and it's great to see it's still sticking to the great formula which has worked for its two predecessors.

GOW is a fun playthrough, but I wasn't too big on GOW2's retcon of the story, especially how it denied the extra endings from GOW1 which could have built into something great, however since Hades is confirmed to be a boss this time round, it'd make alot more sense to Spoiler:

In a press release issued today, Sony has announced that a few key games will be hitting the PlayStation 3 "throughout the year," most notably God of War III and the massive multiplayer shooter MAG.

Although there were no specific release dates given, it is the first confirmation that GOW III will actually make it to gamers' hands in 2009, quelling any rumors that production delays would push the game back to 2010.

I still don't believe it will be out this year. I'm pretty sure Sony said something like that about KZ2 last year and now it's barely about to be released. I'm betting it's gonna be pushed back at the last minute.
