I found out some info on how to pick out the Jasper Xbox units so I'm thinking of heading out and getting the console after Christmas. I have some questions though since I'm not into the whole pay to play online thing. Can you play any 360 game for free or must you pay for the service on all game? Do the Xbox units come with built in WiFi or must I buy the dongle separately? What do you suggest are some good games for the console that are not already out on PC? I know for sure that I will be getting Tales of Vesperia and Dead Rising but can you suggest anything else? I'm mostly into RPG's and FPS. I figure I would get the most out of what the Xbox Arcade has to offer until I see more stellar titles come out. One reason I want one as well is to play the Resident Evil 5 demo. I have the files on disc but can you still play the game? I read MS put a block on this. Last but not least would you prefer a PS3 over the 360 for whatever reasons? I already have Blu-ray player so that selling point is kind why I leaned away from the console.

Xbox Live is needed for every Xbox 360 game online.
My Xbox model is from 2006, so I don't know if the new ones have wifi but mine deffinitly doesn't.
RE5 demo SHOULD play on CD, don't know otherwise.
And I prefer Playstation 3 because of it's multi-media, internet browser, and the free online.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to see if I could find those Xbox cards that give you so many free months. I kind of leaned toward the Xbox since I thought a lot of the guys and gals on THIA have them. Plus I figure online play would be easy to do. Overall any high profile release I will get on my PC even if I have to wait a few months. I guess I'm back to my "if I get one for free" motto but I just can't see myself using the PS3 or 360 that much unless I can find a few games that can hold me off for months to come like I can on PC. I guess I'll give it more time until I make my decision. I made the mistake of getting a DC back in the day and struggled to find fun stuff to play on it. So this is why I want to put my money where it is worth the investment.Last edited by alf717; 12-20-2008, 03:12 PM.

the 360 is worth it. if you buy the arcade and the 60bg pacl its the same as the 299 60gb unit. aslo stores like FYE try to get rid of consoles so they other stuff like 50=100 rebates on 360s they even had the 60gb in my neighborhood for the 300 but offered a 50 dollar rebate on it

Likewise,
Anyway, I know how to spot Jasper motherboards in the 360 arcade boxset *check the contents, if it doesn't come with a memory card its obviously got the 256mb memory in the actual chipset*.
Anyone know if the 60gb boxset or the Elite has been given the new motherboard yet?
Getting one tomorrow for christmas *finally after putting it off*
