None of the F.E.A.R. games are worth full price. I only got them when they were under $20 used at game stop. The expansion I got then returned for full price, beat it under 5 days.

I'd consider getting F.E.A.R. 2 when it comes out, but it's too close to RE5's launch, that it's not worth it.

It may have been a sign that not all was well between the developer and publisher. Remember that the end result was that one party got away with rights to all the characters and the other party went with the rights to the name. Which is why I think that by the end of Perseus Mandate Spoiler:

pretty much everyone except for Alma and the Point Man were dead, all characters, including, as a nice touch, the battalion of Replica Soldiers (all kills added up, you killed nearly a thousand Replicas, which is a battallion).

I tried telling the same thing to "Big Stu" once but he called bullshit. I think Vivendi and Monolith have sorted everything out and all is fine now. Can't wait for F.E.A.R. II.

Simple:
Monolith did the original game and scenario.
Vivendi published the game and also created the name F.E.A.R.
TimeGate did the two expansions Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate.
Day 1 Studios ported basegame to Xbox 360 and PS3.
Day 1 ported Extraction Point to 360 and TimeGate handled Perseus Mandate, both included in F.E.A.R. Files (360) (Extraction Point is much better than Perseus Mandate, but both packs a few nice new features)
Monolith is doing the proper sequel to their own baby.
Since F.E.A.R. name was property of Vivendi Monolith lets fans submit and vote for name.
Project Origin becomes the official name and Warner Brothers is set to publish.
Warner Brothers manages to get F.E.A.R. name from Vivendi (guess Activision Blizzard didn't want it)
Game gets renamed F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin.
Carn buys F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin Q1 2009

EP and PM are both canonical. Project Origin is a PREquel to the first.

Just checked it and youre right. I wonder if its good news or bad news. By the end of Perseus Mandate, one of the arcs was closed and the whole Replica storyline ran into ground. Now that we still have about 500 RS-s to kill, canonically, they can still work on the telepathic commander arc.

Could easily lead to a refurbished continuation no better than PM/EP. And I liked both of them.
