EA's postearnings conference call reveals Nintendo edition of survival horror shooter; new Battlefield: Bad Company, multiplatform Mass Effect 2, Dante's Inferno in early 2010.
just confirmed from EA on gamespot.
i think this is good cause now the wii will have more horror games while we wait for fatal frame 4 and a silent hill for the wii
Dead Space earned kudos from both critics and videogamers but it didn't sell too good (1.5million) becouse of the bad release data. Now it's time for revenge! Go Isaac go! =)
I think it may be interesting, but they wount be able to get the graphics the 360, PS3 and PC (I'm not sure about that one) had, it seems to me it will look something like Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop. Though I may be wrong (I'm not an expert on what capasity does the wii have for graphics). Maybe if they make a totaly new game, who knows
if dead rising wii is any indication, this won't be pretty ..
Fortunately, I don't think DR Wii is any indication, really. DR's using the RE4 Wii engine (I think I read somewhere that the original engine wich RE4 ran was the id Tech 4, but don't quote me on that, tho Wikipedia also had that info for a while), wich, without proper work and recoding, isn't cut for the likes of Dead Rising. And they didn't work on it enough.
So, I'd say that, until further notice about the engine, that Dead Space Wii shouldn't be too bad.
Dead Space doesn't make any money on that console...
RE4 Wii, according to VG Chartz (not very reliable source, but the only one I've right now) sold 1.77 mln of copies. And we're talking about a re-release of a NGC game with changed controls.
Wii is the console that sells best but for children (-18).
What you're talking about? Fallacy.... I heard even stories of 70years old-aged men playing Wii. Wii is basically for casual gamers, but casual gamers and children aren't the same thing.
I'm happy to hear Dead Space is coming to Wii and EA is giving this opportunity to Wii owners.
well my theory is like RE4 on GC they'll split it onto 2 discs so the graphics can stay the same. i still dun kno what the ATI grpahics i nthe wii are based off of.
There a vast number of horror games coming to the see soon. I forget what they all are but some look really good. So I know they'll sell some of this to folk like me. Heck, if this isn't just a port I'll be buying it damned fast.
Plasma Cutter? No no! It's all about that thing with the spinning saw blades now! (That thing's your best friend! Except from when it's your only weapon and one of those hentai tentacle creatures grabs ahold of you)
what about the systemetic dismemberments ? if dead rising wii is any indication, this won't be pretty ..
Dead Rising Wii is a bit of a bad game to compare to. It'd be like comparing the freedom of Crackdown to the limited exploration of a JRPG location.
Dead Rising being huge open areas with multiple enemies (god knows how many on the 360, counted at least 25-ish heads in some Wii footage), Dead Space being (mostly) thin dark corridors with few enemies (think the biggest amount I managed to pack together in Dead Space on the 360 were 5~6 enemies on-screen)
This game's pretty much a no-brainer of a port. Bet if you run the PC version of some of the lower settings, you've got what you're partly in for there (with some added pointing + evt. some motion based QTE)

Why would the game be 2 discs? RE4 GC was on 2 discs 'cause the game didn't fit on a 1,5gb GC DVD-ROM. The Wii can use Dual-Layer DVDs (aka. DVD9), which infact hilariously enough can pack nearly a GB of more space than the Dual-Layer DVD9s used on the 360. Most likely, though, I doubt the a Wii version of Dead Space would even require a dual layer DVD. Since most of the hi-res assets and textures are useless anyway, there'll probably be plenty of space freed up there.

ah, the Remote Control Disc Ripper, mhh... I hate that weapon
Long live to Plasma Cutter and Handheld Ore Cutter

Bullshit. All of Capcom's previous gen games (and current for that matter) ran on proprietary in-house engines. In fact, aside from DMC2 re-using the DMC1 and Onimusha DOD re-using the Oni3 one, each game used its own engine.
