    That wasn't corporate restructuring and it wasn't done by Square Enix, they *Eidos* were simply firing a workforce who produced a poor quality game which didn't sell to a profitable standard.
    To be honest I don't blame them either, TR:Underground was for all it promised, a terrible game.

      Wait a second here, I paid little attention to the thread until I noticed this rather unsettling statement. Now I'm aware that Eidos more or less took over after Ion Storm went tits up, and we saw the end product being the lacklustre Invisible War. But does this now mean that Deus Ex as a series is now under the thumb of the nips?

      Still, might be interesting to see what is essentially a western title developed by a Japanese developer. I'd like to see what Square-Enix can do with the world of UNATCO. Actually, given that they made juvenile fluff like Kingdom Hearts, I'm actually very concerned.

      Deus Ex 3? Are you going to be okay?

      Edit: Ah, The Dude. Your words console me.

            Hmm, let's see...

            Make it turn based;

            Add a completely-out-of-place magic-a-like system;

            Call it "dramatic progressive action".

                  Even though I'd be concerned about the outcome to the very end, I'd say this is totally the most important detail here. It's almost strange to see how there's been no new title in that franchise for half-a-decade. With all the action adventure gameplay-styled western RPGs coming out these past few years, and their somewhat massive success... I'd say it wouldn't be unlikely that this would be one of the reasons for Square-Enix to make a move on Eidos.

                    The more I think on it, the less I actually want a LOK sequel when you think about it.

                    Spoiler:

                    Also, it doesn't seem right to continue it because the characters were so well developed by the portrayals of their voice actor's, and with Tony Jay *Elder God* passing away a year or two ago, it wouldn't really be right just recasting and continuing as if nothing happened, however a remake of Blood Omen would definitley be welcome, considering they had recast Mortanius to make him sound different to Jay's Elder God.

                      What does this mean for the Hitman games?
                      Haven't heard anything on a new title, the last one came out when the Xbox 360 was born.

                        [Spoilers]Everything went full Circle, the Elder God was no longer a threat, Raziel became the Soul Reaver, Kain was restored to his role as Scion of Balance and effectively had the power to rebuild the world, and once finished would have to eventually return the Reaver to Avernus Cathedral for his younger self to find it in his first adventure[/spoilers]

                        I would actually like to see how exactly Kain healed Pillars and what happend to the world, because BO2 actually became possible AFTER paradoxes in SR2 annd Defiance... + Elder God is not dead, only a few rocks fell on him. Tony Jay was awesome voice actor (RIP) but I know few VA, that have similar voice as him... So that is not THAT big threat (No one can be as good as Tony...). And there are few things that should be explained (Vorador in BO2, SR is not placed where young Kain will find it and so on...)

                          I didn't say the Elder God was dead, but he's no longer a threat to Kain, especially with his role restored and the Reaver at full power, Vorador's return in BO2 was definitley something that needs to be cleared up, actually thinking on it, Crystal Dynamics should just completely remake Blood Omen 2 and try to make some sense of it, and return the concept of BO2 back to the stealth formula they promised before it was removed.

                              BO2 was once made and it's canon... I really don't like if something is remaked. Story actually make sense, but only thing it did, was that it created more questions. You can clearly say that Amy did not make this game. (And that would be one thing that I fear most... How good can seqell be without Amy Henning?)

                              btw There was even game called LoK: Dark Prophercy, but it was aborted... (Whether it was only a rumour or not, I don't know...)
