I beat MGS4 in 15 and a half hours in one sitting when I first bought it.

And just last night, Misty and I got up to Chapter 6 in RE5 in about 6 or 7 hours...we would've beaten it too, but my headset died and I have class in an hour.

I beat MGS4 is about seven hours in my first sitting. No shit. I found the game way too easy and short (played on Normal mode). I didn't skip any cutscenes either.

I also beat a lot of old games in one sitting for the Mega Drive (the classics like Sonic, Streets of Rage, Shinobi etc). Then again, you had to back then really, since most games didn't have any level password, unless you cheated by using a Game Genie or what have you.

You are either lying, or you don't know how to manage time, because that's literally impossible. MGS4 has over 8 hours of cutscenes ALONE. There is absolutely no way you beat the game in 7 hours in your first sitting unless you skipped the cutscenes. I'm not saying it's impossible to beat the game that quickly, because the Big Boss Emblem requires you to beat it in under 5 hours and it's indeed possible...if you skip every cutscene.

Im sure Zone of the Enders 2 can be speed run in under 30-40mins if you cut out all cutscenes, knew exactly what you're meant to do, and avoided all confrontation unless necessary. Probably less if you used Naked Jehuty.

I sat with Metal Gear Solid 4 on launch from about 9:10am (When I arrived back from the shop after buying it) until about 11PM that night. I was on Act5 by this point, and had tried two times before I gave up for the night. I pretty much passed out as soon as I turned the system off. If only I knew how close I was to the end, I'd have just stuck with it. I probably wouldn't have made it through the ending cutscenes though.
