(Actually, that makes more sense narratively speaking >_>)
Who needs a narrative? It's all about providing a pair of jiggling next gen tits! Right?

Anyway, this (enhanced port) doesn't come as a surprise, though. I mean, Tecmo's pretty much got nothing these days. So I guess this is their easiest way of earning in some quick cash + adding some active projects so KOEI wont feel like they were totally screwed over when they agreed to merge

Oh, well, I guess we can at probably expect KOEI to take action on the lack of Fatal Frame/Project Zero IV outside of Japan. Only God knows why it took Tecmo ages to do the Wii port of Rygar.

I'm still waiting on an announcement that DOA5 will be on PS3...or 4 will be ported to the PS3

First proper shots. Even the ones released on the 24th won't be enough to determine if it's still a sub-HD game.

Really? NGII was published worldwide by MS, and I don't think anyone but the very optimistic PS3 fans thought that they'll use such a loophole. Heck, MS even produced an hour long pre-launch Making of feature that's still on the marketplace. So I'm actually very surprised.

Tecmo was a VERY small entity (budget wise too) and never been prolific to begin aside from their Team Ninja games so I suppose financing has been an issue throughout the years. Even last gen when their games were indeed technical showcases, they only had a handful. And most of the attention came from Itagaki's PR words.

EDIT: Fatal Frame IV's publishing rights were given to Nintendo for the title, while Tecmo co-developed the game with Grasshopper.

I was always under the impression we'd get another "Sigma", though I always thought they'd called it Omega for some reason >_> Totally random I know.

I don't think anyone has played the western release yet... They keep on delaying the damn thing! If they don't announce something soon, I'm just gonna bite the bullet and mod my Wii or get that 'free loader' thingy.

This is by far the worse thing that happened to the series. It reminds me of when Microsoft bought the exclusive rights to Dino Crisis (the death of the franchise). Nintendo has just seemed content to forget about it and let it die.
Had Fatal Frame remained on Playstation or multi platform (and Dino Crisis), I'm sure the games would have sold enough to justify another sequel.
Fatal Frame could have had over a year being just exclusive to Wii and by now they could release a port to PS3/360 but with Nintendo owning the rights, this will never happen. And the rest of the world is still waiting for the Wii version!!!

I found Ninja Gaiden fun in small doses and it's impressive but I don't mind admitting that it gets too damn hard (for my tastes). I find that struggling to battle my way through a difficult level and a difficult boss fight only to be rewarded by having to do an even more difficult level and more difficult boss fight, is demoralizing...
I'm getting too old for that shit.

Not sure where you got the idea that MS bought the exclusive right to Dino Crisis; that never happened. The decision to let go of the franchise was Capcom's own since none of the games after the first were really commercial successes.

well, there really were only two really really crappy games ..

i reckon that they should give RE a rest and make a new DC now..

OH, Gun Survivor 3... well there was a Gun Survivor 4 so that likely made them some money. I meant DC2 and DC3; the former wasn't a big hit despite being a precursor to almost all of their games today. Very underrated.

DC2 was so ahead for it's time ..

RE4 basically used the entire money for guns system from it ..

also, the game had freaking dinosaur vs dinosaur battle arena's, how the hell could people not buy that ..

DC3 killed the series effectively though.

New bosses, areas, two new playable characters (the other is Momiji from NG DS), AND online co-op:

Wow, sounds like I will double dip. Though I doubt it's double dipping, there's so much new crap >_> Online co-op is a huge surprise though.

As for DC2, that whole game was basically Mercs mode from RE4 =P DC2 would really work with a remake of some sort, or at least a new Dino Crisis game using the same core gameplay mechanics.

Nah, The Mercenaries was based on PN 03. You could say that DC2 is ahead of RE4 in one way: running and shooting :p

They're both the same =/ You have to chain together enough kills in a quick manner to get a bonus.

EDIT: Wait, was that a joke >_> *is confused*
