You can't technically call it a DMC rip-off... considering the same director is behind it that one that created Devil May Cry to begin with. Seeing as Capcom caused his departure, they'll just have to deal with him making a competitive title in the same style.

Personally I think it looks better than DMC 2 and 4... maybe not so much 1 and 3 though.

edit : the trailer came off pretty awfully for me, there really doesn't seem to be anything unique about this game other then "i haz guns on feet" and the Sarah Palin likeness, and a bunch of zoomed in crotch shots..

Maybe i'm not digging this because the trailer came off way too similar to DMC4, and I recently played it for the first time a few weeks ago (and really really liked it).

The Palin thing is a bit of a coincidence too, seeing as her design and look was publicly released before Palin became a known name.

I think the variety of quick use combat moves shows a lot of difference from DMC.

On a vaguely related note, this game looks vaguely interesting. I was never a big fan of DMC so I dunno, but it looks like it could be good, mindless amusement when my friends and I are bored.

The TGS trailer was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the game.
I'm a fan of the DMC series but to be honest, I'm a bit sick of the feminine/emo leading 'dudes'. I'd much rather play as the sexy BAYONETTA!

Edit: the 2 new trailers are basically the same. The US one is a little shorter but it's a higher quality. Parts of some of the cut scenes are shown. It looks like it will be quite entertaining.

Devil May Cry with the main character with the attitude of a prepubescent teen replaced with a character prepubescent teens will drool over. A subtle change, but enough to make all the morons think it's the best thing on gods green earth as seen by the reviews so far. Ridiculous, got bored of the demo after 5 minutes. And she's just a slut version of Tommy February6



Whats wrong with developers these days? When did all the imagination and creativity get sucked out of the industry? As the consoles get better the games get worse.

Because it's easier and more cost effective to take a fomula, such as Devil May Cry, which they know will work and slap tits on it to appeal to the male demographic. And it sells.
