Marvel vs Capcom 2 coming to XBLA (and PSN)! ^_^

Achievements were revealed some time ago, so it's finally official! We'll probably see an announcement soon.



Biggest thing so far is that the game mentions online matches! Should be awesome. Carn let me borrow his copy for almost two years and it was quite fun =P

And for all those who are not in the know, this is the only fighting game around where you can play as the one and only...

I've yet to see anything pop up, but when it does I'll post it here. I'm sure it will as well, we'll have to see. It's been sitting on PartnerNet for some time now, and I've not heard anything about PS3 (is there a similar system in place for the PSN?)

Oh SHIT! Best 2D fighting game ever made coming to XBL? I'm very happy to hear that, since I thought there would be some copyright problems, so we wouldn't get it? Can't wait to play it again.

There have been some rumblings for a while that since the Marvel license was up, that Capcom might have picked it back up, or at least done something to be able to use it again. Not entirely sure of the specifics, but this isn't a bad thing =P

I just hope this is some kind of "research" or "gauging of interest" for a third installment. There are heaps of new awesome Capcom characters that they could incorporate into the franchise.

I'd love to see Vanessa Z, for example. =P

Hasn't really aged well. And plus, SC4 is just as good, if not better. And of course, it has online. So does MvsC2, while SoulCalibur doesn't.

SC4 was awful and unbalanced, especially with the Star Wars nonsense they poured into the game. That said, Cervantes is hideously overpowered in SC. Even so, it's still the best game in the series.

Throw out the Star Wars characters and you've still got a great game. I played over 500 rounds of it post launch and there were only about 10 of them who would even think about using Yoda. Vader was way to slow to be powerful at all. Cervantes was the throwaway character that anyone without any skill could pick up and absolutely own with. All his terrible moves are unblockable (well, most of them) and that's a lot of the reason why generally unskilled players chose him. He's been like that since Soul Blade.
