You can craft darts AND shit yourself? I don't quite remember that.

What does "shit" entail? I only remember darts. >_>

it's the act when you realize you've made the wrong kind of darts that have absolutely the most meager amount of effects on the raptors, and you realize there are three purple raptors in the room with you. You make darts, and shit yourself at the same time.

Darts are practically useless. The dinos eventually wake up anyway.

I'm stuck trying to find the second set of parts for the Stabilizer/Initilizer.

        Anybody know where it is?

you can make poisonous darts as well, although they require a bunch of synthesis .. it's just better to run away from the raptors, it's quiet easy.

as for the stabilizer and initializer, it's a lot easier to take Gail's way and rush into the dino filled area to retrieve the actual items instead of rick's way to make them (painstakingly).

Lol, I chose Rick's way because I had no ammo

But I finished the game and got an unlimited grenade launcher with super bullets Awesome!

EDIT: Goddamn it, I quit the game and lost the launcher Why aren't special settings saved?

To be specific, Capcom crafted it under the idea that the dino's are faster than zombies and the low ammo, small spaces, and tighter camera would create a panic effect - and so all the promo material when the game was released called it "Survival Panic" instead of "Survival Horror..." and to be fair it was a good call, they're right. Dino Crisis is a tense panic creating title based off it's gameplay.

I also enjoyed the fact it had actual puzzles and the fact that the Japanese, US, and European editions had different answers to the puzzles.

They are, you just have to save the game after you complete it. There's no "autosave" for unlocked items. If you did save, your error is probably that you started a new game, thinking it would load the bonus stuff - well, it doesn't. You'll have to load the clear game save.

I'm glad people are starting to play this game again, I've been wanting to re-buy it for sometime now. I still like to think that Dino crisis (at least the first one) take place in the same universe as Resident Evil. They need to makes games like this more often. Just bring back more items, inventory systems (and the funny sounds that come with them), puzzles, fixed camera angles, creepy atmosphere and add in some current-gen graphics: BAM, instant winner. And if not, at least a lot of people in this forum will be satisfied lol.

Well, truth be told, I never got the option to save the cleared game. Loading my most recent save puts me back at the port immigration office save point. I don't wanna have to wait through all the ending cutscenes again, not to mention the terrible credits whose music doesn't suit the game at all (would more suit a Victorian-era drama).

I did try and start a new game, but accidentally pressed "normal" instead of "hard", but I couldn't go back from there, so I alt-tabbed and forced it to quit

Well, I'm starting on Dino Crisis 2 again, and I reckon it's better than the first. More fun and engaging, and there's definitely no ammo shortage this time around

Yea I love Dino Crisis 1 but jeez. Resident Evil 1 and Dino Crisis 1...the first games always seem to have the least ammo lol.

Resident Evil had plenty of ammo, if you knew what you were doing and could use it wisely. Dino Crisis on the other hand, has nowhere near enough.

Yea, you get these worthless tranq darts. Oh good, I can postpone my death
                                I love it though...classic bliss.
