I found an awesome zombie mod for Fallout 3. Check out http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloa...e.php?id=10346, it's a lot better than the feral ghoul spawn mods, this one actually feels like your killing zombies.

I encountered an entire horde of them after coming out of the vault, took them all out with a .44 magnum Check out the gory screens below:

I'll try to convert this mod to use the RE4 area. At the moment they only spawn in the wasteland. I also wanna take these zombies out with a wider array of weaponary..

Those are some great textures/remodels on the original ghouls. I can see those going well in the RE4 area if you got the spawns correctly and hitting the atmosphere spot on with them coming to get you.

Actually, that was already done with this mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloa...e.php?id=14242

It adds some villagers/guards and a few ghoul spawns. The ghouls are dead within a minute or two though so you need MMM with mega increased spawns to get any sort of effect. Ghouls remind me of metro subway areas, not RE areas. The zombie mod is well done, and you can change their animation with the shuffling mod.

Someone posted screen of the map from the guide:

            http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/alb...hp?pic_id=4363

Might take a break from this topic so I can play through the wasteland myself. I don't want my experience tainted ;)

Not going to look at the map, and I've only heard about the game having 70 more side quests, and being bigger in content and size than fallout 3. And it's also great that this game has some old tracks from Fallout 1 and 2. This is a game I've not really paid much attention for the story and world and I am going to stick like that when the game's released

I think if people in here are going to post anything story or gameplay related, spoiler tags will be the best bet to keep things safe.

Are you going to play it on normal or hardcore? I heard in hardcore companions die permanently (you know how much that is gonna suck on the console versions). I like the survivalist nature of the hardcore mode... Especially after reading "The Road" (which also inspired quite a few design elements in FO3).

I am going hardcore first thing, difficutly being set to normal or hard. I just want that old Fallout experiance I had, combined with the rules and physics we have today for WRPGS. I'm honestly stocked to have that challenge on me. You should try to because honest to god that pure feeling of tension will come to your face, knowing if you fuck up you fuck up. Compared to the trial of save and load in most games today, you loose that old school feeling (or maybe I am drinking the kool aid of nostalgia) of challenge. Hardcore mode all the way.

Yep, that's the most exciting way to play. A lot of the stuff in hardcore mode is based on the FO3 mod FWE, I'm not sure if NW will be the same but in FWE when you got crippled you had to see a doctor to fix it. That's alright I guess, but the bad news is that you were no longer allowed to use fast travel - ouch!

I'd imagine Obsidian was influenced by that mod and was one of the reasons why hardcore mode was added into the game. I am glad I've jumped onto the PC version this time around, I can't believe the stuff I missed out on with Fallout 3 due to playing the console version. Never again!

Someone is streaming the xbox 360 version at http://www.justin.tv/kattenjanssonx3#/w/471747136/8

They're about 10 or so hours into it. I had a quick look and it seems almost the same as Fallout 3. Definitely more of an add-on than a seperate game. This will give the mod makers a headache about which game to work on.. I wonder if they will try to merge the assets of both games into one.

I wouldn't be surprised to see much changes with the engine between F3 and Vegas, outside tweaking, polish, and RPG stats data with Obsidian. Moders should be able to port anything worth of interest to this game should not be much of a pain to do so, and Vegas will be much more active in the community (especially from the NMA guys) for some time.

I was thinking more along the lines of using a travel mod (travelling between different "world" maps) with Vegas - so you can go back to Capital Wasteland at any time. Of course all the equipment and enemies will need to be balanced first, but I think its a real possibility.

Damn wish I got this on pc now rather than 360 but meh what can ya do =P

as soon as it goes down in price on pc slightly I will be for deffo getting it, considering how many mods I have discovered for 3 especially the weather mod really adds a bit more immersion to the capital wasteland imo.

Aha, now that'll be interesting! It would be cool to see if someone would actually update the capital wasteland to work with Vegas's overhaul system and change some of the map to fit that the game is set a few years after. It would be a neat project to see someone try to link the two. Very highly likely that it can be done.
