I got a 3000 a few days ago, it's really nice but i wish i could play my ps1 games on it. Apparently there is going to be cfw for the 3000 but i updated mine to an unhackable version oh well hopefully SCEE get off their ass and release some more classics on psn

You can usually tell by just looking at it, but if all else fails look at the label underneath the battery.
