  • Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

i found this to be a truly compelling game, teh controls were very well done, the atmoshpere was tremendous, the whole sanity thing was a very good idea, what do you guys think?

It's a classic. The only thing I'd say it could do better is make the gameplay a little more difficult and the enemy themselves a little more haunting. None of the enemies were really scary, only the effect they had on your sanity. Throw more random mental breakdowns and the sequel, when finally made, will be super awesome.

yea, i loved the premise of the game, game's now and days don't dare to be original

The premise was original, the story was pretty good, the sanity system was great and in alot of cases really shocked me, but I hated the controls, the glyph system or whatever it was when you had to create your glyphs etc, and the movement/combat system felt tacked on and lacking.

true, but a lot of games of its kind do tend to leave things desired, I mean in RE you only get to aim up, straight, or down. This game let you specifically pick which part to attack

The game totally blow my mind, even if the controls were pretty stale...but what scary
            wasn't back then in third-person?.

The story, the settings, and the glyph system were pretty awesome. You also had to
finish the game three times with all 3 different paths which led you to the true
            conclusion/epilogue.

            Which is.....
