Randy Couture.

People will make the argument that Couture was past it, but he wasn't past it in winning the title and defending it (both convincingly), Randy's been in ridiculous shape and condition for his age for a long time now. Man's a legend, disappointing that he's not in the game considering he's one of the most popular of all time.

If this game had girls in it and a custom fighter creator, I'd get it for sure!

But I'm not really into watching men grappling with each other...
Though, I'll admit that some of the PS2 games were good fun in small doses.

I'm a big fan of the 'Fight Night' boxing series (and I RULE! ). I'll be grabbing the new version of that one.

Yea, Fedor would be nice. I'm also very suprised they didn't put Randy in this as a farewell ya know, I guess we can always create him lol. I think it's funny that Kimbo slice isn't in it lol, I wonder if they had already made his model before they found out he was a joke a couple months ago

I am not really sure about the roster. Are you sure that is final? It will be great if Arlovski is still in but I highly doubt it. It is not that important as I am sure we can make a copy of him in create a fighter mode

I'm sure there will be a lot of created Shamrock's as well lol. I finally won by submission last night...took forever. You basically have to deliver heavy damage to eithier the body or legs, than try for a submission. I had Rua's ribs completely purple to where whenever I hit him there once he would go down, then I tried for an arm bar and got him lol. However, it's already extremely difficult on easier modes, but it's pretty much impossible in the harder modes, with these two fighters anyways. It's not nearly as hard to submit a human opponent, it's the A.I. fighters that are really stubborn lol.

Oh man i just thought this game was good before. I've mastered subs, turned up the difficult, and now it's a fucking riot, best fighting game ever!

Just won my first Heavyweight title with a 20-6-0 record.

Sweet dude, I still haven't got the game yet. Is the full game as good as I hoped?

It's alright i guess. Career mode is pretty meh to be fair, fights are exciting though and endings can really come out of nowhere.

For career mode...you make your own fighter (standard character creation) and then head to a gym. Here you have to have to tune your strength, speed and cardio (three different levels of tuning, each using different levels of your stamina)...or go sparring, to turn points to boost your more in-depth statistics (ground offence and defence, clinch offence and defence etc)...but you only get 100% stamina to play with, meaning you only usually get the opportunity to spar twice a week really, but the second time you're only running on half of your stamina.

You generally have 8-12 weeks between fights so it's a pretty boring task of doing all of the above between fights.

After every fight you get an e-mail from Dana or some dude who makes the matches, offering you your next fight, usually with two or three choices. You choose one, then go about the above tasks. Sometimes you'll get emails from Dana asking you to fill in for a fighter who's injured with just two weeks notice, doesn't make a difference really.

The fights are where the good shit happens though obviously. Winning the title from Nog was great fun. I was dominating early on and stunned him, then knocked him to the ground. I got a bit excited and jumped in for some ground and pound to seal the belt but it was reversed and i ended up having to defend from the bottom with Nog in full guard taking shots. Eventually i got out, and knocked his head off with a high kick. Job done.

Was waiting for a bit of a fuss to be made about me winning the belt but nothing happened. Just my hand being raised and the belt appearing round my waist. Oh, and an email saying i should defend my belt and that it would be great.
