Oh man. That game looked awesome. But still I believe it could get finished by another developer... 3D Realms got a lot of producer contacts: ID Software, Remedy, Rockstar, Take Two (I know they have the publishing rights).
But what the hell is Duke Nukem Trilogy?

DUKE NUKEM FOREVER IS BACK. BELIEVE IT.
There's been a lot of rumors that Gearbox and 2K were working on the title that 3D Realms never managed to finish... Guess what? It's true.
I still can't believe this. I've been waiting for this fucking game for a decade. A DECADE. Now Gearbox has the ball and I don't think they are going to screw this one up.

Personally, I always thought the games themselves were pretty shitty and that Duke the character superseded everything else. His dialogue and overall disgusting behavior made the games appealing to me as a pre-pubescent child. As a mature gamer now, though, I can see how lame the games were as games.
